Hello everyone, I'm James, an English 36 year old programmer. For the last 18 years I have been a DM with a passion for building and designing my own settings and campaigns as I’ve always loved coming up with unique worlds for players to explore, and how they impact it through their own backgrounds and actions. GM Style

The aim of my games is always to run the best session that I can, and that everyone is enjoying their time. My games have a focus on world building and character relationships and I always do my best to include a player’s character in both of these, letting them shape details of the setting and their characters place in it, and then let them loose to see what effect they will have on the world. Ever since the halcyon days of forum roleplay I have been a passionate roleplayer with a focus on the little details. My players have always been surprised and amused by all the questions I can answer about my settings, from local jargon, traditions, economics, relationships and even down to the cultural shifts due to magic or technology. It has always been my belief that it’s the funny little details that bring big places to life. When it comes to battles I love a good map and interesting tactics, but real battles only occur when there’s an actual risk involved. If you ever face a group of bandits or goblins that wont be an interesting fight, I run that as a roleplay challenge. My players always know that things are going to get a little more serious when the battlemap comes out. Likewise you’ll never get into a situation with me where battles are just a numbers slog, battles are a time for excitement and daring action after all.
