Fallout: Paradise Kingdom | Aloha Survivors!
Fallout: The Roleplaying Game | Campaign
About the adventure
The Kingdom is ALIVE and reaching out. The year is now 2300 and throughout the centuries after The Great War no one heard from or even thought of Hawaii while trying to survive in the remnants of the United States. Now repaired Navy vessels arrive along the West Coast, calling themselves The Fleet, and they come heralding an invitation to The Paradise Kingdom. An invite directly from King Kamehameha VI. You now get the chance to live in this new exciting setting in the Fallout universe. Newcomer or Local? You decide. The Kingdom is alive again with a swarm of factions; from the powerful Pele Protectors, to the newly arrived Newcomers that The Fleet have begun bringing from the Mainland. Now the Kingdom must reckon how the spirit of Hawaii lives on; is it among tradition led by King Kamehameha VI, or with radical adoption of change with the Tide King and the Hopeless raiders.
Game style
Theater of the Mind
“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

Great game. Well prepared. Worked with players to develop their characters. Fun fallout themed world. Notably fair division of role play attention. Understood the rules and was open to modifications when they were fun and reasonable. I had a good time. Ready to see what comes next.
David is an amazing story teller. You can really tell he has a love for world building and sharing that love with others. He really makes the gameplay as imersive as he can and he does a fantastic job of it. Had a wonderful time playing. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
David really fits my play style! He can make changes on the fly and keeps the story progressing. He is invested in the characters and allows for personality and creativity of the players while maintaining the mechanics of the game! He is also very patient with questions and has no problem explaining how things work! Wonderful experience!
SideQuestNPC is a wonderful DM who works with his players to help make your sessions be unique and full of fun and versatility for different players styles. You want to be at his table and the ability to engage the players with his storytelling will make every session unique, fun, and worth your time. Make sure to book a session today!

How to prepare
Mic, yes! Webcam, if you want. Alchemy VTT doesn't require a download, it's merely a link that will be sent to you to join in the game through a browser. You'll need to make an account with them of course. The other option, and it really is optional, is discord. There's a discord server set up to provide information, communication with me or other players, as well as announcements for all upcoming sessions, One-Shots, and events.
What I provide
In this campaign, players get to experience Paradise Kingdom with brilliant visuals, immersive audio, and an engaging scene after another in the Alchemy RPG VTT. The Hawaiian islands come alive with tons of fully crafted locations and points of interest. The Alchemy VTT provides access to Item Lookups, Rules, and pretty much anything else you'd need to jump into the 2d20 system by Modiphius. As well as, a dedicated discord server for all things Fallout with myself the GM (SideQuestNPC) as well as any other Fallout campaigns and One-Shots that take place in the Paradise Kingdom (SideQuestRPGs). What to expect? Well, it's simple. Expect to jump in and have fun. My GMing style and love for worldbuilding lend to the goal of making sure players get to enjoy their time with me and in the Kingdom. I'm not going to bog things down with overly complicated rules or set ups. It's all about getting together, picking up where y'all left off, and seeing what else the Islands have to offer. Definitely shenanigans to be expected.
Gameplay details
I will always provide a Session Zero (0) for every campaign and player. Here we can take the time to discuss the player's wishes and goals, ideas for character, and learn more about the Paradise Kingdom setting and factions. During every session, there are built in tools such as the X Card in the Alchemy program that will discreetly make me aware of the situation. Most of these situations can be worked out in the Session Zero. After each session, I allow time for debriefing and decompressing. This is not only a great time to just chat and share our excitement but also gives me a chance to check up on everyone in the group. This is also a great time to reflect on any player's Stars and Wishes for the rest of the campaign.

How will character creation work
Well, you know about Fallout? Great. Do you know what Hawaii is? Awesome. In every Session Zero the process is rather easy and tailored for every player. There's an array of premade character types players can choose from, or just take inspiration from. We go through all the Origin options and faction alliances that help shape what your character is great at, set out to accomplish, and who among the Islands can you trust or have to look out for. All materials needed will be provided either through the Alchemy VTT, discord, or PDF materials provided.
