About the adventure
D&D 2024 | Homebrew Greyhawk | Level 5 | New Players Welcome You don't need to know the rules. All I ask is for you to be willing to learn as we play! đ In the city of Greyhawk, the partyâs troubles began behind a wizardâs locked door and spiraled outward into something far darker. What they thought would be a simple search turned into a battle of wills and wits when a trusted servant revealed herself as a succubus, old contracts resurfaced, and a frozen chamber became a deadly arcane puzzle. Escaping with a corrupted journal, the party uncovered plans for a devastating summoning ritual anchored throughout the city and beyondâone that could unravel everything if left unchecked. Claiming the wizardâs abandoned home as their base, they chose a dangerous path: infiltrating the cult known as the Ebon Veil from the inside. After surviving a brutal initiation that ended in blood and deception beneath a tavern floor, they now walk a razorâs edge, posing as loyal agents while racing to dismantle powerful artifacts hidden in swamps, keeps, and forgotten placesânever quite certain whether they are manipulating the cult⊠or slowly becoming part of it. Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey there, Iâm Brad. Welcome to my table! My games range from light-hearted and whimsical to deep, mysterious, and character-driven. Whether weâre laughing over a wild crit fail or unraveling a shadowy conspiracy, I focus on keeping the story engaging through plenty of âyes, andâŠâ moments. I love creating collaborative stories where every player feels seen and every choice matters. New to gaming? Youâre in great company. Weâll learn, explore, and level up together. A little about me: Iâm a U.S. Army Veteran and served with the 1st Infantry Division in Afghanistan. Those years taught me the power of teamwork, flexibility, and resilience. All of which show up in how I run my games. After my time in the military, my wife Amanda and I faced a tough chapter of our own. After going through an ectopic pregnancy, we channeled our energy into something joyful: starting The Scheming Cookie, where we handcraft creative, protein-packed treats that are as bold and sweet as the people we bake them for. Whether Iâm spinning tales or baking cookies, my goal is simple: to bring people together. So grab your dice (and maybe a cookie too), and letâs kick off an adventure worth remembering.

Creating your character
Ability Scores âïž Point-Buy System: Weâll use the point-buy system for ability scores. Iâm happy to help if you need assistance with this. Starting Level âïž Youâll start at the same level as the current party to keep things balanced. Allowed Options âïž Shared Sourcebook: Iâve shared the Player Handbook 2024 with you on D&D Beyond, so youâll have everything you need to build your character. âïž Other Sources: You are welcome to use other source book you own to create you character. âïž Homebrew Friendly: Homebrew content is welcome but subject to approval. I strive to say "yes" whenever possible to encourage creativity and make the game your own. Feeling overwhelmed? No worries! âïž If building a character feels like too much, Iâve got your back. Just tell me a bit about what you like, sneaky rogue, big-hearted warrior, chaotic spellcaster, and Iâll create a premade character tailored to your preferences. You can jump right in and tweak it later if youâd like!
