About the adventure
Elderas is a massive city, built upon a ley line resting in the middle of the city. Its multilayered walls and arcane defense towers keep residents safe from the prowling monsters outside. Most people have never seen outside the walls but that does not stop adventurers from attempting conquest and searching for treasure. But when the city's defenses fail will a new group of heroes rise up in the footsteps of the last? This is a very character focused game, aside from the opening the game will heavily depend on the characters and their stories and how those stories effect the world. I will lean heavily into character backstory integration and allow the players to go where they want and move at their own pace in this story with moments for everyone to shine. A high magic setting plenty of opportunities to explore.

“Theater of the Mind” uses little to no visuals for scene settings and combat. Instead, the narrative imagery comes from the Game Master’s descriptions and character action and movement comes from Players’ descriptions.

Kat is a fantastic DM and always keeps a fun and exciting story going! He is great at clarifying anything I get confused on and always makes every player feel included - also ignore the review about him yawning, that person stayed for 3 minutes of session and Kat only yawned once, so idk what that person was thinking. To me Kat is a great DM and always makes sure everyone is having fun!

Kat is a great DM! He offers different levels of campaigns, from very scripted ones to completely custom campaigns based on character interactions. My party is full of idiots but he rolls with our interesting roleplay choices and keeps it exciting. As a new DND player, it's been nice to have him there to walk me and my party through encounters. Also he's just a chill guy so there's that.

How to prepare
You will need at least a mic, access to Discord and a way to roll dice. A DnD Beyond account is recommended as is an OwlBear Rodeo account.
What I provide
I have a lot of custom maps and music, I'm a rule of cool dm with Dnd Beyond access and a lot of books on there. I also have a hero forge subscription and will model characters, if you would like your character drawn instead I also have a server artist.
Gameplay details
Players will be asked to message me any triggers or topics they would like to avoid, and I will anonymously put them into a shared chat so the others know what to avoid. If an incident were to occur the Player would be welcome to take a break and dm me about it.
