About the adventure
A Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far, Far Away... The thousand years of peace has come to an end. Almost a decade ago, the Trade Federation launched an unprecedented assault on the peaceful Mid Rim World of Naboo. And during the invasion, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his then Padawan learner, Obi-Wan Kenobi confronted what was confirmed to be a lord of the Sith, the ancient enemy of the Jedi. Though this Sith Lord was defeated, the mystery behind the survival of the Sith and whether this warrior was the master or the apprentice still remains a mystery to the Jedi Council. Since the invasion, many worlds across the galaxy have started to lose faith in the Republic and even the Jedi Order. Tensions floating, and fear spreading. As the Senate and the Courts fail to hold Viceroy Gunray accountable for his actions, there is little hope in the rule of Republic law. Now, one week ago, a former member of the Jedi Order, Count Dooku, made a public address to the entire holonet from the world of Raxus Secundus. Decrying the failures of the Republic and calling for dissatisfied worlds to succeed and join Raxus and its allies in the new Separatist Movement. In this time of chaos and growing dread, you are a Jedi Knight. An exemplar of peace and hope in the galaxy. Your mere presence as a Knight of the Order would inspire millions. However, with the growing darkness, the Jedi Council summons you to the Council Chambers for your new assignment. What you don't know yet, is the exact nature of your mission. You will have to keep this mission secret from even the Republic Senate as to not invite more panic while dealing with the growing Separatist Crisis. Your mission, is to unravel the mystery of the Sith's return and find a way to stop them before war breaks out across the galaxy. This game is set in the year 24 BBY, just 2 years before the events of Star Wars Attack of the Clones and the start of the Clone Wars. It is a Force and Destiny Campaign where you play as Jedi Knights investigating the return of the Sith and facing the build-up to the Clone Wars. You will have to play the games of the Senate to reveal hidden motives, travel to far off worlds to settle disputes before they breakout into open civil war, search for answers in the shadowy corners of the galaxy, and confront the growing power of the Dark Side. This game is set within an established Alternate Universe created by me and several groups of dedicated players over 4 years ago. This campaign shares in the story of an ever changing version of the Star Wars universe where even the smallest choices could have the widest reach to affect events both within and without the Campaign. About me
Hello There! You can call me many different things! Gallant, Commander Hellreaper, Morgan LePenguin, Jadyn, and more! I have been GMing for the past 5 years running multiple Campaigns! Namely, I am running a Star Wars Alternate Universe using the Star Wars RPG by Fantasy Flight Games/Edge Studios. I own all three Core Rulebooks and all of the Sourcebooks. I run my games on Foundry VTT, using a Discord Server to talk with players. I have Wednesday through Sunday available for running games. When I run my games, I run them with the themes of the universe in question. Trying to create an experience being both unique while still being true to the feeling of the system/universe. I enjoy allowing my players to shape the Campaigns with their decisions. Allowing the players free will (but certainly not free from consequences!). Being open to discussion to find compromise whenever issues arrive. I like to give my games a feeling of being lived in. Using Worldbuilding to make the world feel real. Giving each NPC their own personalities. I like to use skills I've learned in writing fiction to help players feel connected to the game world. I hope you consider me for your games! Creating your character
We tend to go over character creation on Foundry either between the player and the GM or the player and our designated "Foundry Manager" admin! In both instances, we are here to help you either learn to use these systems or simply to walk through the journey of character creation with you.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will require a mic and a device capable of using Discord and Foundry VTT (laptop and or desktop with hardware acceleration on for the browser). Beyond that, you are not required to have any of the books on hand or in PDF form as we are more than happy to provide information for you. If, however, you feel you require a little more to prep with; than Google and YouTube will be your best friends! Though as mentioned above, we provide a Cheatsheet for this system to help!
What Gallant Ascent brings to the table
We host a Foundry VTT world on Forge VTT! This allows us to be able to play the game and add necessary resources when required. I also have a copy of all 3 Core Rulebooks and all rule supplements, so if there is anything missing from Foundry or you don't have any copies yourself, we are able to provide the added material. (We also have a PDF of a cheatsheet for the system!) We host an open Discord Server where like-minded fans of TTRPGs and Star Wars come together to enjoy a hobby and tell the stories of a galaxy far, far away. We offer a safe space for everyone, especially LGBTQIA+ and Neurodivergent people! Where you can be yourself without fear of judgement. I tend to tell stories that try to (at each campaign's required pace) to get you attached to the game world and to the people within it. I put a lot of emphasis on being able to tell the narrative with the player characters at the centre of the story. Prioritising player agency! With me only stepping in when things aren't able to be done and or to maintain narrative continuity. As well as a wide variety of fresh plot points, worlds, and characters who (according to players in other campaigns) breathe life into the universe of the game. With a whole host of customized lore separate from either the Disney Canon or the Legends timelines (though with plenty of similarities!) that is constantly being shaped by every player in every Star Wars game I run.
Homebrew rules
In character creation, you receive a free rank in all 4 career skills from your specialization instead of two. Likewise you start with 600 credits instead of 500. We also have available custom playable species (e.i. Herglic, Sephi, and custom ones such as the Yerenak and Vran), and even custom careers and specializations created by the GM and your fellow community members.

How Gallant Ascent creates a safe table
We provide an RPG Consent Forum for all those new and rejoining our games. It is pinned on the General Text Chat of our Discord Server. We request that you fill it out at your earliest convenience. We also will have a Session 0 which will be free of charge. This is to assure we as a group are able to sit down and talk about our expectations of the game and go over all of the necessary safety tools. And should anything that causes distress come up, you are free to speak up and request time. We also have a role called "Player Resources" who can offer assistance whenever you require it should the GM be too busy. All to ensure you have everything you need to feel comfortable and safe playing our games!
