Don’t let the in-progress start deter you—new players are seamlessly woven in with a custom intro to bring you up to speed on the action and intrigue. Set in the rich, published world of Eberron, this isn’t some untested homebrew gamble; this campaign blends official adventures and resources to craft a story that’s both fresh and grounded in familiar D&D foundations—no wild new rules to trip over here, just polished storytelling and balanced gameplay. Plunge into war-torn Eberron, where the airships still soar but the Gatekeeper seals begin to crumble under the Yellow Queen’s touch. About me

Greetings, adventurers! I’m Doug, your seasoned Dungeon Master, inviting you to join me at my virtual table for an unforgettable Dungeons & Dragons experience. I’ve been rolling dice and spinning tales since the 1980s, and my mission is simple: to draw you into a captivating, immersive game that keeps you coming back for more. Expect richly crafted NPCs, a chorus of voices and accents, intricate maps, a library of lore, and an infectious love for the game. As a lifelong devourer of fantasy fiction (and frustrated author), I’ve found D&D to be my ultimate creative playground. I delight in conjuring quirky characters, fearsome beasts, enigmatic prophecies, knotty mysteries, and breathtaking worlds. I thrive on weaving your character backstories into the campaign’s grand tapestry, letting you steer the story while I frame it within an epic narrative. So, grab a seat, and let’s craft a legendary tale together!

What Doug the DM brings to the table

Foundry VTT, D&D Beyond books, custom maps, art, voices, music, and a balanced mix of combat, story, and intrigue. I use 5e rules but am generous in my interpretations and value great role playing and creative choices over rigid application of the text.

Homebrew rules

Drinking a potion is a bonus action - roll dice for healing; You may instead use an action to guarantee full healing from a potion. No Silvery Barbs.

Safety

How Doug the DM creates a safe table

Once you are approved for the game, you will be sent a link to join the OnlyDragons discord server, where you will find additional information concerning character creation and campaign specific lore. You and I will have a brief one-on-one via Discord to cover lines and veils and make sure you are comfortable with the table rules, and the subject matter. I'll go over my open door policy and we will also go over character concepts and backstories. Each character will start with a secret related to their backstory and to the overarching plot. All official 5e content is permissible.
