About the adventure

You wouldn't wish this fate upon anyone, yet here you areβ€”locked in a dark cave, the cold, heavy weight of metal tight around your throat and wrists. You are not alone. Other prisoners are trapped in here with you, in an underground outpost far from the light of the sun. Your captors include a cruel drow priestess who calls herself Mistress Ilvara of House Mizzrym. Over the past several days, you've met her several times, robed in silken garments and flanked by two male drow, one of whom has a mass of scars along one side of his face and neck. Mistress Ilvara likes to impress her will with scourge in hand and remind you that your life now belongs to her. "Accept your fate, learn to obey, and you may survive." Her words echo in your memory, even as you plot your escape. πŸ”₯ Escape the drow prison with your fellow prisoners and traverse through the underdark as drow jailers are right on your heels. Creating your character

Before we start, everyone will get to discuss what character they like to play, but if you feel comfortable, free free to make your own character beforehand, using either the "4d6 drop lowest" or "point buy systems", just let me know which you are going with before you build! Here are some other general rules when it comes to character creation: β—† I allow any race from the https://www.dndbeyond.com/races (Message me if you want to play something that isn't on this list) β—† All races will be allowed to switch their normal Ability Score Increase to instead increase one ability score by 2 and increase a different one by 1, or increase three different scores by 1. β—† Any class from the Player's Handbook (subclasses from the other books are accepted as well.) Artificers are allowed with slight modifiers, for balancing, which will be discussed beforehand. β—† All basic weapons and items will come from your background. Additional items will be given at my discretion, but feel free to let me know any you are interested in. The new edition of D&D (referred to as 2024 or 5.5e) has been stated to be backward compatible. As such I allow both versions in my games. Since not all of the books are out, I generally default to the original 5e rules and spell descriptions, but if you decide to build your character with the new rules, we’ll combine them into this game. (Though some magic items may be rebalanced.)
