About the adventure

Welcome to the world of Greyhawk, where the "Temple of Elemental Evil" has laid dormant. In this adventure cultists are rousing the para-elemental powers within, and it is up to your adventurers to infiltrate their stronghold, and interrupt their ritual before the horrors beneath can unleash doom across the land. 3-8 level four characters (make your own or use one of the official pre-generated characters from the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon!) with powerful magical items can embark on this one-shot adventure in the newest edition of the greatest game of all time!

About me

Hi, you can call me Eli and I love RPGs. I do not limit myself to the d20, I think the thing that has made me a strong gamemaster over the decades is playing as many TTRPGs as possible. I would love to explore new worlds and dimensions with you, or craft some together! My focus has always been the connection between players and the tales we tell without limiting our imaginations. My favorite games to play are Mage: The Awakening, Savage Worlds, and Fabula Ultima. My schedule is full, but if you are interested in gaming with me feel free to send a DM and hopefully we can work something out!

Eli is a great guy. His game is about letting players be creative and having fun. Instead of worrying about optimization play that weird build that you always thought would be super cool but weren't sure would work out well as he'll help you figure it out.

Eli works hard to know the rules so that when bending them at the appropriate time is fun and engaging for the group. He provides a fun safe environment for new and experienced players alike. He is also great at taking criticism to improve the game for everyone.

The game I played was well organized, but creatively run. There was structure, but done in aid of allowing players to improvise and explore.

Extremely helpful with p2e basics and controlling Foundry. Grey was focused, helpful, and had a good blend of allowing banter while keeping the pace from dragging. Thanks Grey!

Eli is a great GM for both folks who are just getting into a particular system, as well as for people who want a crunchy challenge in something they are familiar with. He is receptive to ideas and making something work while also respecting the balance of the game and party composition. He is also reliable and consistent. He constantly checks in with people and is open to constructive feed back (though not much is needed).

I play in Eli's Daggerheart game, which is still being beta tested. He's been incredibly helpful as we learn a new, constantly changing system. He often lets his players describe things and helps us shape our characters' stories.

Character creation
Creating your character

Pre-generated characters (all from the D&D Animated Series!) are available, but players are invited to create their own level four characters using the newest D&D 5.24 rules to submit at least one day before the session.

What to expect
Preparing for the session

At minimum, players will need a microphone and Discord. I highly recommend the use of a computer, but a tablet or smartphone will enable play as well. I ask that all character concepts are submitted to me at least an hour before a session begins. I can generate a miniature for your character, but sending me art of them will help bring your vision to the table. Dice rolling is possible through Discord, as well as the virtual tabletop. I do permit players to use A.I. art for their characters, but I DO NOT use it for art assets.

What Elijah brings to the table

I will be bringing the entire game: rules, sheets, dice, maps, miniatures via the "Foundry VTT" software. There will be pregenerated characters available, but you can create your own if you can get me the sheet at least one day beforehand. Point Buy, Standard Equipment and Official Backgrounds; The pregenerated characters all have a special magic item, so you are able to either make your own with the gamemaster, or select any Rare magic item from the 2014 or 2024 rules for your character.

Safety
How Elijah creates a safe table

All my games use the following home rules: Golden Rule (Treat Others As You Want to be Treated), Red Rule (Mind Control Cannot Force Characters to Perform Acts That Makes Players Uncomfortable), Rule of Cool (If the Rules Do Not Support Your Actions We Can Discuss the Possibilities) As part of my open door policy players should feel invited to express discomfort, or praise at anytime during a session. Lines We Do Not Cross: Rape, Sexual Assault (These DO NOT EXIST in my universes) Veils: Sexual encounters, torture, violence towards children (If these come up they occur off-screen) Breaks: At anytime that you need a break there are Foundry modules to facilitate that, or feel free to message me, or speak openly in the session. After the session I like to discuss how the game went for everyone: what you liked, and what you think could be better, in the form of "Stars and Wishes." These can be for me, the tabletop, or other players.
