Creating your character
Characters will start at Level 1. You may use any official D&D sources. We will be using the 2024 updated rules, but legacy species, subclasses, etc are allowed per the 2024 guidelines. No partner content, homebrew, or Unearthed Arcana, though I'm a big fan of reskinning/re-flavoring. Character creation should be done either in DnDBeyond or Fantasy Grounds. Upon joining you'll be given a link to join my DnDBeyond campaign which will give them access to all of the published Dungeons & Dragons character options. Please be sure to check the Prep Materials after you sign up for more details about character creation, as well as links to my Discord server that we'll use for chat and voice during our sessions.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Prior to play, you'll want to have both Fantasy Grounds Unity (the Free DEMO version is fine) and Discord installed on your devices. If you've not used these services before, don't worry! Newbies are more than welcome, and I try to make myself available to anyone ahead of time who needs technical assistance. Once you're in the Discord, I'll be available for assistance in creating characters or anything else you might need.
What DM Bob Yo brings to the table
I bring the story and all of the maps/mechanical necessities. I also provide access to a shared DnDBeyond campaign containing all of the character creation options, and a Fantasy Grounds Unity Ultimate License so players don't need to purchase anything.

I'll make the Deck of Player Safety available to everyone prior to our first session; in addition, I have safety tools build into Fantasy Grounds that can be used anonymously any time you wish. We'll discuss all safety tools in length in session zero.
