🏳️🌈 You are most welcome here. ___ 📜 If you are reading this, then you already know that you're special. You have survived things that others did not. Something that seems obvious to you, have befuddled those around you for generations. Magic, swordplay, tactics, diplomacy, song, or even your connection to something older than these mortal pursuits has come as naturally to you as the fish to the sea. This is not an accident. You are a Hero. Be it by birth or fate, you've known this and if the people around you don't already, then they will soon. My hope, is that you're one of the ones we need now. The Dragonlords of old are long gone. The Oath of Peace that has kept the Titans and the Gods from tearing each other apart for the past 500 years is ending. War is coming to Thylea. This is a war that the Gods are ill-equipped to win. It will bring doom or enslavement to the Twin Titans for the rest. The people are terrified -- and they have every right to be. The journey has been long and arduous for the group known as the Heroes of the Prophecy after hearing the words of the Oracle Versi that spoke of a future where the mortals of Thylea lived. From humble beginnings in a countryside inn to the masters of the legendary great warship of the Dragonlords, these heroes have proven that they may alone have the strength to stand against the oncoming wrath of the Titans. They have reclaimed the stolen horn of the famed dragon Balmytria, relit the fires of the lost Mithral Forge, delved into the hallowed tombs of the Dragonlords to claim lost arms of those famed warriors, and wrested control of the great ship Ultros from the infamous ghost of Estor Arkelander -- renaming it in honor of their patron: the infamous goddess of music & mischief Kyrah. But Kyrah has been taken by the great powers of this land and now the heroes of the prophecy stand without their muse and guide as they set sail in search of the knowledge they shall need to defeat the foes that not even the Gods could best... ___ OotD is a campaign inspired by the myths and legends of the ancient Greeks. About me
Hey y'all, I'm Chris. I'm a late 30-something Game Master from and currently living on the edge of Hillbilly Nation in the state of Kentucky. For a little north of the past 20 years I've usually been actively running, or thinking about running, some sort of tabletop roleplaying game. In 2003, I started running games because no one else wanted to play the game I wanted to. Then in 2024, I decided to take the plunge and try asking complete strangers to *pay* me to play make-believe for a few hours every week. To be completely honest, I still have a hard time understanding why, but after a couple of years of doing this at a professional level I'm starting to accept that I might be good at it. I'm a shy person by nature. I have mild stutter, plenty of anxiety, and enough self-doubt to go around -- but I also love being a Game Master. It's fun, it's creatively rewarding, and I'm constantly getting to meet and learn about new people, places, and things when I do it. Listen, I re-wrote and deleted huge chunks of this. I want to respect your time and try to make your experience fun. I want you to feel like you can relax, have a good time, and get engaged in creating a fun experience that makes your 3-ish hours with me a highlight of your week. Creating your character
- Characters will be created during session 0. - Characters will be created at 1st level, using the 2014 version of Dungeons & Dragons. - Attributes are determined with standard point-buy rules, but may add a free +2 bonus OR a feat at character creation. - Included in this campaign is a custom portrait of your character, as well as a thematically appropriate circular token frame.
🗓️ This campaign will take roughly a year to a year and a half to complete. Characters are currently at level 6. 🫂 Influences for this adventure include: Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, Troy, The Odyssey, Star Wars, the 7th Voyage of Sinbad, Gladiator, Our Flag Means Death, Disney’s Hercules, Conan the Barbarian. 🛠️ Characters are be created via standard 2014 Dungeons & Dragons rules using point-buy for attributes. All characters receive a FREE feat or Ability Score Increase at level 1. 📯 JOIN THE ADVENTURE! The heroes have been summoned, but more are needed. Join the Heroes of the Oracle and race to save Thylea from its doom! - 🤖 Aletheos, a Warforged Bard (Doomed One Epic Path) A automaton built by the Goddess of Death as part of a dire plot who's turned his life towards fighting against the Titans. - 🕶 Lucina, an Aasimar Demi-God Sorcerer/Barbarian. (Vanished One Epic Path) Divinely-blooded with a complicated past, she once rode with the fabled Dragonlords before vanishing over 500 years ago. - 🐍 Megaera, a Medusan Academy Wizard (Cursed One Epic Path) A shy woman who's family line bears an ancient curse who's on a journey to save her line from extinction.

Preparing for the session
Players will need to have the following: - A stable internet connection. - A dedicated microphone and space with minimal background noise. - A free Discord account (https://discord.com) - A free Forge VTT account (https://forge-vtt.com) - Some understanding of 5e D&D (basic rules found here: https://www.dndbeyond.com/sources/basic-rules) - A copy of the free Players Guide to Odyssey of the Dragonlords. - Bi-weekly Availability. Optional: - Webcam (mine will be on in any case!) - A computer capable of handling a graphically intensive campaign.

I expect everyone to behave like adults who have come over to friend's house for dinner. ******** Longer Version - Lines & Veils are welcomed to be discussed before the game begins. Players will also be provided a google form version of the Monte Cooke Consent in Gaming checklist. - My personal Lines & Veils are: Lines - No sexual assault of any kind will be depicted by the players or the GM. Veils - Explicit sexual or romantic content will be handwaved or treated in a "fade-to-black" manner. - A 10/15-min breaks is taken every 1.5-2.0 hours regardless of total playtime. - Any homebrew rules will be discussed ahead of time. - Access to D&D Beyond, Campaign Discord, and Consent Checklist will be sent after players have reserved their seat!
