NO ROOM FOR A WALLFLOWER | War Crimes & Ancient Dangers | LL5
When you receive a distress signal, you respond, no matter what. If the tables were turned, you'd want the same. That's the law of the void.

About the adventure
A corpro colony on an out-of-the-way planet—with scarce few details about it in your database—calls for aid. "Hostile local fauna" seem to be causing trouble. The signal is week and garbled, you get the planet's location and colony charter, but little else. For LANCERS like you, this should be a simple matter of logistics. Drop in, suit up in your mech, apply weapons and tools to the problem as needed, then fly home in time for the holidays. It…should be simple. This epic adventure ranges levels 0–12 as we delve into a hive of ancient dangers of a once prominent, now almost forgotten, planet. Hidden in the lush and dangerous wilds lie answers to great secrets indeed, and deeper mysteries still. 🔵 ART: "Zero Two - Darling in the Franxx" by vioni.xsc, licensed under CC BY-SA 3.0, edited by me.

About me
High-value adventuring, versatile gamemastery. 27/M/US-ET. 100% human-made. Focus on player-driven stories, great voice acting, complex tactics, deep roleplay, and good VTT use. 🔵 COMMISSIONS • Many systems, any genre • Official or custom content • Large group, small group, or duet • Specialty offerings • See pricing below 🔵 EXPERIENCE • 4+ years public speaking • 7+ years acting (10 theater performances, 1 year formal improv training) • 14+ years gamemastering • 20+ years worldbuilding • 11+ years "Dungeons and Dragons 5e" • 3+ years "Pathfinder 2e" • 2+ years Old School Renaissance (primarily, "Without Number") • 2+ years "Forged in the Dark" • 1+ year "LANCER" • <1 year experience "City of Mist", "Cortex Prime", "The Contract", and others 🔵 PERKS All perks only provided at request. • After your first session, I will credit you up to $75 USD to purchase a character portrait by an artist who uses human methods (no gen-AI) of your choice. Credits are provided as a per-session discount of 10% of the purchase price (up to $7.50) for the next 10 sessions. • Prior to your first or second session, I will call you for a free 30–60 minute character creation consultation. • For any private commission of custom content, I will call you for a free 30–60 minute adventure design consultation. • At any time, I can help you source a human-generated image for your character portrait from my library of purchased assets or freely-licensed content libraries I have access to. • After one session, I will write ~1,000 words (~2 pages of text @ 12-point font, single-spaced) at your direction for your character to create narrative anchors to the adventure, explore your backstory, answer lore questions, or define a personal quest. One revision cycle allowed. 🔵 PRICING Listed fees for public games may differ, below prices reflect fees for private requests. • Official/published content: $35 per person per session • Ready-to-play homebrew content, yours or mine: $40 per person per session • Custom content I design for you: $50+ per person per session, complex or specialty requests may cost more. Labor-intensive designs may incur a nonrefundable retainer equal to the cost of 1–2 undiscounted session(s), credited to the first session(s). I may require 2-4 weeks to prepare content. • Private groups of 2–5 players: 6 × regular cost of 1 person, either distributed equally between all players or serviced by special arrangement. Arrangement is renegotiable upon gain or loss of group members. This price modifier reflects the opportunity cost of hosting a smaller private game when I could otherwise host a public game of 6+ players. • Single-player adventures (duets): 7 × regular cost of 1 person. This price modifier reflects the same sentiments as above, as well as the additional labor required to entertain and advance a solo player through an adventure without the social and creative reliefs provided by multi-player party. • New system beyond my current offerings: Upfront retainer equal to the cost of 1 undiscounted session, credited to the first session(s). I may require up to 2–4 weeks to become competent with the system. • Play-by-post (play slowly via text-messaging): -15$ to regular cost. You are guaranteed up to 6 hours of messaging availability per week, schedule to be determined by interview. 🔵 TRIVIA • I used to do heavy equipment mechanics. • I once drove a puppy-powered dog-sled atop an Alaskan glacier. • I once sang at Carnegie Hall (with my high-school chorus, I sung baritone). • My director typecast me as the designated "drunk" character-actor for 5 of our plays (Twelfth Night, The Tempest, The Plow and the Stars, Our Town, Threepenny Opera,). • I have lived in two US states and one EU country.

ACCESSIBILITY Please reach out to me for accessibility concerns not covered here. Special accommodations can and will be made where possible. - VTT use not necessary. Special attention can be given to 'theater-of-the-mind' descriptions at request. Also, the gamemaster can click buttons for you at need. Allowing you to enjoy a more movie-like experience. - Specific content tropes can be culled from the narrative to better suit your comfort. CONTENT WARNING Expect a generally 'PG-13' rated adventure, occasionally veering into 'Rated R' territory when the party fights monsters. Rated R/TV-MA/M for Mature. We use these "lines" and "veils" to moderate certain content: Lines (will not feature): - Out-of-character/real-world prejudice against protected groups - Sexual violence Veils (will "fade to black"): - Explicit sexual content - Very graphic descriptions of violence - Violence towards children, pets, and other innocents FEEDBACK METHODS Feedback is always welcome in any form (Discord messages, voice calls, snail mail, etc.). Criticisms or personal issues will be duly heard and considered; changes to the game structure will be made where possible to better accommodate everyone involved. We use "stars" and "wishes" as a form of feedback. At every session's end, each player may share things they enjoyed, and want to experience more of (stars), and things they hope to experience (wishes). TIME POLICY You are asked to arrive on time, but your time is your own, you will not be penalized for arriving late. The game begins approximately 15 minutes after the listed start time (with that time usually being given to socialization and notes). We play for 3 to 3.5 hours, ending where possible at a good "story moment". We enjoy a 5—10 minute screen-break twice each session, typically at hour intervals. SCHEDULE POLICY We play 3 of every 4 week. The 4th week is a creativity and scheduling break for all involved. Typically, the break week off occurs at regular intervals, but may sometimes be shifted to best suit a majority of players during a weird scheduling period. You are free to skip an upcoming session without penalty up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. After the 24-hour mark, your placement and payment are locked-in. Refunds in the form of site credit will only be issued for cases conforming to the StartPlaying refund policy: https://intercom.help/startplaying/en/articles/8719194-refund-policy You can skip an upcoming session from the Upcoming Games tab of your StartPlaying player portal. SESSION ZERO Session zero refers to a meeting where we discuss expectations and totally prepare you for the game, including building or at least initially designing a character sheet. If you are joining after the first session, our session zero will be private: a short voice call (or text session, at preference) to review the same details.
