This set of modules written by Kai Tave are intended as an introduction to the LANCER system while still providing an engaging plot and complex mech combat scenarios. So whether you are brand new to the world of LANCER or are a veteran mech pilot, there is something for everyone. In Operation: Solstice Rain you will take on the role of mech pilots tasked with leading a rescue mission on the besieged city of Nov Elysia on Cressidium, a planet that was settled by Union’s anthrochauvinistic Second Committee just before it was overthrown by the coalition that would eventually become the current-day Third Committee. The powers of Cressidium have been locked in a centuries long cold-war that has recently been enflamed by the arrival of Union. We will then move onto part 2, Operation: Winter Scar during which you will undertake a dangerous mission behind enemy lines. We will see how the situation on Cressidium has developed, partly due to the consequences of your actions in Part 1. When the chips are down and Union backup not expected in system anytime soon, its up to your crack team of mech pilots to avoid disaster! How to prepare
Please ensure you have a working microphone and access to discord as well as a quiet spot to play in. You will also need an account with The Forge in order to access the foundry server https://forge-vtt.com
What I provide
I have spent hours crafting the VTT environment to provide a smooth and immersive experience for you, this includes a fully animated and interactive map, accessible to you at any time where you can view the planets of the shore and read important information. All my combat maps are in the isometric perspective and I have utilised animations and sound effects for attacks and NPC's. I have access nearly every official and 3rd party lancer module and sourcebook at my disposal. LCPs included.
Gameplay details
We will begin with a 'soft' session 0 where we will introduce our characters and lay down some basic expectations for the game. It would be good if you could prepare a character sheet and grab some artwork for both your mech and character before the session.
