About the adventure
In the jungle village of Chiml, reports of missing citizens are becoming more and more frequent. The village chief Myra is at her wits end trying to manage the town's defenses while rumors are spreading of an ancient curse aroused by the ongoing war. In desperation, she has gathered the 100 gold required to hire The Thousand Thirds. Join a level 3-5 campaign set in the land of The Churning Isles as you play as members of the neutral good guild, The Thousand Thirds. This is a great opportunity to use the 2024 rules system (provided) in a low level campaign that ties into a greater setting and story that will be running for years to come! "Gnolls in Gold" is a part of the Thousand Thirds adventure series hosted through the affiliated discord. We host One Shots every third Friday and a Campaign on the 2nd and 4th. All games are connected and the results of both the one shots and campaign influence the story at large. Message me if you want to learn more or just want to watch the story unfold! I'm a GM with roughly 10 years of experience with an expertise in story writing. I've run hundreds of custom games that specialize in backstory incorporation and building the world along with the players. Creating your character
We are using 2024 D&D, level 3, point buy or standard array with all published DND Beyond materials and one custom utility magic item. If that meant absolutely nothing to you, no worries! I will help you build a character and fill in all the gaps. Even if you have never played before, I can walk you through making your character your own!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
DND beyond, Discord and Roll 20 accounts are requested but only Discord and a microphone are required. Everything else, from character creation, software installation, system management etc I can handle to make sure your experience is seamless.
What GMApelles brings to the table
My specialization is customization of both story characters, backgrounds, themes and plot. To this end, I provide dozens of resources to build the kind of character you want to play. We mostly use DND beyond and Roll 20, for which I can supply in-depth support. Our chat is run through Discord and as long as you have a microphone, I can sort out the rest!
Homebrew rules
Stats For Nerds: 2024 rules 1d8 upcast for conjure minor elementals Silvery Barbs is a 2nd level spell. (If its on Dnd beyond, probably ok. Confirm with DM) Point buy or standard array Hp at half die Flanking = +2 to hit. Critical success equals max damage then roll dice again. Encumberance is ignored Non-Lethal damage, if declared, means target has resistance to the damage you are about to deal. Potion drinking is a bonus action. Potion administering is an action Experience Points, not milestone. Banned Alignments: chaotic evil, neutral evil, chaotic neutral, and true neutral. PVP and Character Death are possible.

Session 0 generates a detailed profile of both players and game master that details everyone's comfort levels with most predictable topics. All players are required to operate at the lowest threat level submitted by all participants and are removed if unable to comply. During gameplay, the adventure is custom written so if we discover and pain points along the way, we can edit and revise the adventure in real time.The benefit of live operator of a game is live adjustments is a feature, not a bug. I am not married to a story and can change any element of the game to accommodate the mental health of the players. To prepare for this game in particular, there is an expectation of intense violence and gore specifically, as well as a sub theme of ignoring warning signs in isolated or disenfranchised groups of a population. Please be practice self-care and consider these triggers before choosing to join.
