About the adventure
Born from the dying breath of a creator god, the System of Dek’s Light is it’s own self contained world of chaos and creativity, full of mysterious anomalies, old seclusive civilizations long past, and just as dangerous monsters, stuck in the middle of a system-spanning war between a less than favorable empire and a rebellion that’s lost its vision. And right in the middle is You, one of many folks who were displaced and sent to a hidden asteroid station named Soljack’s Bastion, a place best described as sprawling slums, organized into a city, huge and budding, yet stranded in space. Join me on this Sci-Fantastical adventure through astral space and to planets and their moons that you get to write (if you are so bold) or tell a story of your home from one of the many premade planets. Get creative, make jokes, explore the costs of war, make us cry! Drama Kids welcome!

About me
Well Hello there! I'm Lattendel, or Latte for short. I'm a intermediate producer who also enjoys voice acting and TTRPGS like Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition, Pathfinder 1st and 2nd Edition, and Wicked Ones/Blades in the Dark, though I find most of my time as a Game Master, writing stories and telling tales to my players. Having played in and run games ever since I was in the late stage of elementary school, I've got quite a bit of experience with the chaos that is a D&D campaign. I tend to run player-first narrative campaigns focused on the world the characters are in and how they survive, or how it survives them instead. Joining one of my campaigns will lead you down a rabbit hole of your own making, with narrative ties pulling you into the fray and tough decisions, as well as an open world ready to be traversed with matching music. As an artist, I strive to make as little use of Generative AI as much as I can. All music I use in my games have and will be made by yours truly, and art will be made by a human as best I can deduce. I'm not saying it won't get past me, but I won't use it intentionally. Regardless of my stance on it, you are free to use GenAI in the creation of your characters, though I would prefer if you wrote their backstory rather than AI writing it for you, even if its bad.

Creating your character
Everything is allowed with the exception of Unearthed Arcana. Since it is also relevant, we’ll be using the 2014 rules from the Old Player’s Handbook Use this D&D beyond link for your characters. https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/join/59584263747704093 Character Creation: - Level 8 - Point Buy for Ability Scores - Extra Feat - Either Starting Equipment or Gold for your stuff - 200 extra starting gold Homebrew is allowed, but please, please, please ask me first! I’ll need to look at it as well before I can approve it.
Currently level 10! Take a Rare and Two Uncommon Magic Item of your choice as well as 250 gold to spend on equipment. The party consists of a Ranger/Fighter, an Artificer, and a Barbarian. They also have a NPC Fighter that is undecided if they'll stay with the party.

What DM Latte brings to the table
I love me some descriptions, from either me or my players. Always been into role playing games and story, so my games tend to have lots of it in them. I am vocally talented, able to switch in between high and low pitches with ease. Many thought it was another person talking rather than me. I am a musician, so there’s a good chance that most unique locations and planets will have their own themes as well as your character’s home town or cities! Don’t be surprised if I ask what kind of music would fit in their old residence. I tend to stick to the Rules as Written, but if something makes sense, then Rule of Cool all the way! I bring the maps, music, and world, you add to it and make it crazy!
Homebrew rules
Bonus Potions, Full Action for - Full/Maximum effects. If it rolls for a random effect, an Action lets you choose. Not magical ammunition and standard +1 ammo isn’t limited. Special ammo WILL be used when shot. Heroic Short Rests: 10 minutes to rest, can attune to one magic item with a short rest per day. Flanking: as long as you and an ally are within 5ft of a hostile creature, you gain advantage on attacks against that creature. Inspiration has no maximum, it can be used to reroll OR gain advantage on a roll. You may take whichever roll you wish.

How DM Latte creates a safe table
When playing in my game, I always do a session 0s that way we can all get on the same page when it comes to the setting, characters, topics to avoid, etc. I’ve been in games where I’ve played a character that fully fit the vibe where others didn't, I struggled to find reasons for my character to converse with them. Granted in this game, just about everything will work with the setting. Aside from that, we will always take breaks around the halfway mark to session end, or push it back, but I will always make sure there is a break in the interim. If something is bothering you, just say so, whether it be in direct messages or publicly, I want to make sure that everyone is comfortable at the metaphorical table, myself included. If you have feedback, be it something you don’t like, ways to improve, the sort, I’d love to hear it! I’m not perfect, and I never will be, but help me be better. If you want something in the campaign, mention it to me as well! I’d love to add to the world and make it more comfortable for you!
