About the adventure
Warhammer: Adventures in Ubersreik Setting: Welcome to the fortress city of Ubersreik, where towering walls protect the populace from horrors lurking in the Old World—but not all threats lie beyond. Within the city's labyrinthine streets, corruption festers, dark cults scheme, and strange happenings go unnoticed by those too afraid to look deeper. This is the grim and perilous world of Warhammer Fantasy, where the line between hero and victim is razor-thin, and danger lurks around every corner. Theme & Style: This campaign plunges you into a horror-filled fantasy setting where every decision matters, and survival is never guaranteed. You'll explore mysteries, unearth forbidden secrets, and confront malevolent forces that would turn your blood cold. The Old World is bleak, unforgiving, and filled with moral ambiguity—victory may come at a cost, and not all evil is as it appears. Combat is brutal, and choices will weigh heavily on your character’s soul. Content Warning: This game contains mature themes, including horror, violence, death, corruption, and supernatural terror. Characters will face psychological and physical dangers, dark magic, and grotesque creatures. Themes of moral decay, societal collapse, and the fragility of life are ever-present. This is a setting where grim realities meet twisted nightmares, so be prepared for a game that’s not for the faint-hearted. For Players Who: Love immersive storytelling with a dark, gritty tone. Enjoy solving mysteries in a world full of danger and intrigue. Are ready for tactical combat where every action can mean life or death. Want to explore the depths of a rich and oppressive setting where heroism is hard-won.

About me
I started gaming when I was 10 years old and instantly fell in love with it. It gave me a creative outlet and a playground to learn about the world and important issues like history, social justice, team work and problem solving. Over the last 30 years, I have run thousands of campaigns and have even had the joy of teaching my own 3 kids the art of role playing (Ages 14, 11 and 7). I am new player, Autism, LGBTQ+ & POC friendly. I believe that every one who is a sentient being is worthy of respect love and understanding I look forward to speaking with you soon and adventuring with you! I have provided engaging experiences in the games listed below: Dungeons and Dragons Star Wars D6 Eclipse Phase Call of Cthulhu Dragon Age Mage the Ascension Vampire the Masquerade The Expanse Traveller Numenera And much more! I love learning new systems.

Creating your character
Their will be a game zero on where will create character together as a group. if any one joins after our first game I will be happy to create their character with them before we start if schedules permit.
This is an inclusive group where everyone is welcome—POC, LGBTQ+🏳️🌈nerds, and players of all backgrounds. Whether you're a seasoned player or brand new to the game, you're invited to join us. No need to be an expert in the lore—just bring your enthusiasm for adventure and a desire to have fun in a grimdark fantasy world Step into the chaotic streets of Ubersreik, a fortress city on the brink of transformation. Political unrest and power struggles are rampant after the sudden removal of the ruling von Jungfreud family by none other than Karl Franz, Prince of Altdorf, Elector Count of Reikland, and Emperor of the Empire of Man. Accused of traitorous acts, the family has fallen from grace, leaving the city’s leadership in question—and the mystery of their downfall unsolved. The Emperor's shocking decision has left Ubersreik teetering on the edge of becoming a Freistadt (Free City). Now, with its future uncertain, powerful factions across the Empire are vying for control of this vital seat. Noble houses, merchant guilds, and secret societies all have their eyes on Ubersreik, and you, our adventurers, are about to be thrust into the heart of the storm. As the city’s politics grow more volatile, dark secrets bubble beneath the surface. Why was the von Jungfreud family really accused of treason? Was it simply political maneuvering, or is there something darker at play? In a city where loyalty is questionable, danger is ever-present, and the very fabric of society could unravel, will you help Ubersreik rise, or watch it fall? What Raul "the Friendly Neighborhood Game Master" brings to the table
What Do I Bring to Our Game? My focus is on cooperative storytelling, crafting harrowing situations filled with political intrigue, intense combat, and environmental challenges. I love building intricate mysteries for the group to unravel, and I ensure the world reacts to player choices—your actions will shape not only your character's life but the entire narrative. I use Foundry as our Virtual Tabletop (VTT) of choice, so you'll need to create an account on The Forge to log in. https://forge-vtt.com/account/login Expect accents and voices—some will be great, some hilariously bad—but if they don't enhance the story, I'll drop them. Music plays a big role in setting the tone, and I'll share it through Zoom or provide a Spotify link. We'll use Zoom for video conferencing, and I'll also create a Discord server for the party to stay connected.

How Raul "the Friendly Neighborhood Game Master" creates a safe table
Our Game Environment: Our game is a safe and inclusive space for everyone, welcoming people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals of all backgrounds. We foster a respectful and collaborative environment where everyone can feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. Negative behaviors, such as bullying, homophobia, transphobia, or racism, are not tolerated. Any such actions will be met with one warning, giving you the chance to adjust your behavior. However, if this behavior continues, it will result in a permanent ban from the game. Our goal is to ensure that this is a space where everyone is having fun, feels respected and valued. Lines and Veils Lines are hard boundaries that won’t be crossed during the game. These are themes or topics that players have identified as off-limits. By setting clear lines, I ensure we avoid content that might make anyone feel uncomfortable or distressed. For example, we might set a line against graphic depictions of torture or certain types of phobias. Veils are softer boundaries. These are topics that exist in the game world but are only mentioned indirectly or “off-screen.” For example, a scene of graphic violence might happen, but it would be described in a way that fades to black, avoiding detailed descriptions. This keeps the tone of the game intense without crossing personal comfort zones. Monte Cook Consent Checklist Before we start playing, I use the Monte Cook Consent Checklist to understand what themes players are comfortable with and what they’d like to avoid. This checklist lets players categorize sensitive topics like horror, violence, mental health, and more as: Green (completely fine) Yellow (okay with caution or discussion first) Red (off-limits) The checklist helps me build a game tailored to everyone’s comfort levels, making sure we can dive into the dark fantasy world of Warhammer without crossing any personal boundaries. Breaks and the Open-Door Policy In addition to Lines, Veils, and the Consent Checklist, I incorporate two important tools to ensure ongoing safety and comfort during the game: Breaks: I regularly schedule breaks so that players can step away from the intensity of the game, take a breather, and reset. Players can also request a break at any time if a scene becomes too overwhelming, and we’ll pause to give everyone space. Open-Door Policy: At any point, players are free to step away from the game if they need to without judgment. Whether it’s for a quick break or to sit out for part of a session, the open-door policy ensures that players can take care of their mental and emotional needs whenever they feel it’s necessary. How It All Works Together By combining Lines, Veils, the Monte Cook Consent Checklist, regular breaks, and an open-door policy, I create a space where players can fully immerse themselves in the rich, dangerous world of Warhammer without worrying about being pushed beyond their comfort zones. The horror and mystery of the Old World come alive in our sessions, but only within the boundaries that make the game fun and engaging for everyone. Why This Matters With these tools in place, we can enjoy the thrill of dark fantasy and intrigue while ensuring that everyone feels safe and respected. Players can face challenges, make tough choices, and confront the horrors of Ubersreik while knowing that their emotional well-being is a priority.
