About the adventure
Rizenfel, the once prosperous kingdom, bleeds sorrow. A gaping wound marks the spot where Castle Rizenfel once stood, swallowed whole by the land itself. In its place, a chasm spewing plumes of ash obscuring the sky and falling like snow. A bitter cold seeps into everything, broken only by the heat of the volcanic chasms that scar the realm. Fear and chaos reign as the desperate population cling to the remnants of their shattered lives. A once-rare affliction has begun transforming the populace at an alarming rate. These "Realmtouched," as they are called, are shunned as cursed for their strange powers and often-frightening appearances. A bitter power struggle has erupted, with ambitious factions vying for control of the shattered kingdom. The remnants of the once-revered royal family, if not dead, are seen as a threat to the burgeoning powers vying for dominance. A grand exodus is inevitable and those who flee will spread tales of Rizenfel's descent into nightmare. The realm's true fate, however, lies in your hands. In true Fabula Ultima fashion you will have the ability to help form these threats and other world elements. Whether you want to contribute to the whole of the world setting or simply focus on your personal narrative I am adept at weaving your interests into our sessions together. Do you want your choices to have impact on the world around you? Do you want a defined character arc supported by a visually stunning layout, previously described by my players as an interactive movie? Hey friends! This is the part where I tell you I’m an amazing GM and you should totally join my table. I’m not one to brag and usually wrestle with imposter syndrome in most things—except this. Creating your character
Session Zero: Shaping the World and Your Character Before we dive into the adventure, we'll gather as a group for Session Zero. This is our chance to collaboratively shape the world of Rizenfel by introducing narrative elements and potential plot twists. These decisions might influence the kind of character you want to play. Why Wait to Create Your Character? While it's best to hold off on creating a specific character until Session Zero, having a few concepts in mind can be helpful. This will allow you to explore different character classes and skills that might align with your vision. Accessing Game Materials All necessary reference materials will be available on both the Foundry server and the Discord Server.
The party has accomplished much. Having helped save the Realmtouched from direct persecution and dismantling the Frozen Inquisitions leadership; the remaining survivors of the group must look at the bigger picture and understand what is actively manipulating events while also surviving a Regal Zombie hoard now overtaking Rizenfel. A private Session Zero will be scheduled when joining to help get you set to participate in this active campaign. Collaborate directly with me and help create world elements and create your character.

If there are noises interrupting I may request you use the Discord push-to-talk feature. ✅ A 17inch or larger Monitor ( small screens or playing in a smaller window may cut off parts of the screen, this isn't necessary and can be resized to fully view the server. This is just for the best experience. ) ✅ If you are new to Fabula Ultima, the Discord has reference material you can review before Session Zero to aid in character creation, and you can ask me personally as well.
