About the adventure
Welcome to Daggerheart, the new tabletop roleplaying game brought to us by Critical Role. This is a fantasy system allowing for creative and collaborative game play, where the only limit is your imagination. Your heroes can explore unknown sections of the world, dive into political intrigue, conquer their fears, and maybe ever encounter a dragon. Players will embark on a story of their own making with their backstory and their choices leading the way. Daggerheart allows players the chance, no matter their experience, to shape the story in unique and wonderful ways. In this game the players will also be a vital part of the world-building of the setting they explore, utilizing a unique Daggerheart mechanic that allows for an even more expansive collaborative experience. This campaign is going to be built by everyone at the table from the ground up. It is your world, your campaign, your characters. About me
Hello! My name is Carley and I am woman in my mid 30's with a fascination with all things gaming. I grew up playing every board game I could get my hands on. Devouring rule sets, learning how to play the game and teaching others. This was often the only way I could get others to play with me. I found joy in figuring out how a game works and learning how game mechanics in general function. I have brought this understanding of rules and mechanics to the TTRPG games that I run. But that isn't to say I let the rules have the last laugh, knowing the rules as well as I do allows me to break know how to let those rules be broken in the name of great story. As a Game Master, I bring not only a vast understanding of the game, but a seamless integration of character backstory for all the player characters into a beautiful connected story for all involved. It is my favorite thing to do as a Game Master. Taking pieces and parts from every player to create a unique, grounded and targeted story, creating opportunities for every player to shine. I strive to create a safe storytelling space where all involved can explore different experiences to their heart's content. To me the best feeling in the world is creating a space that players enjoy playing in and can't wait to return to week after week. I am absolutely new player friendly and am always happy to introduce players to the joy that is collaborative story telling. I have experience running games for people of all ages from 10 to 60+ and would be happy to have players of any age at my tables. I am also LGBTQ+ friendly. I insist on safe space for all involved and require respect for all parties at my table. I do not discriminate nor do I allow discrimination of any kind in any of my games. Creating your character
In the session 0 we will go through step by step character creation. Everyone will be starting with a level 1 character. Characters will be created using Demiplane. They have free accounts you can set up. Dice rolling can be done however you wish, I trust my players to be honest and forthright. Some of the best story moments come from failure.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account. Access to a Mic and Webcam (Video is preferred, but not required.) Reliable Internet. A can do attitude, let's have fun!!
What GM Carley brings to the table
I will bring everything else that is needed for the game. I will be bringing the maps, the story hooks, the NPCs, etc. I will also be bringing an understanding of the ruleset and a willingness to embrace player creativity.
Homebrew rules
We will be playing with the Rules as Written, but I will always leave room for the Rule of Cool.

How GM Carley creates a safe table
This game will be using Demiplane for Character creation and links to character sheets will need to be sent to me. If and when we use maps we will be using Roll20's VTT. We will be using Discord for Voice/Video. No experience is required to join this games, just a readiness to play. You can expect a good balance of role-play, combat, and exploration with a slight focus on role play. There will be a free session 0 before we start the campaign where will build your characters and create connections between the characters. We will also start building out the world we will be playing in for the campaign. If you join after the campaign has already started you will still receive a free session 0 where we will do character creation and discuss integration into the campaign.
