About me

Hello! My name is Carley and I am woman in my mid 30's with a fascination with all things gaming. I grew up playing every board game I could get my hands on. Devouring rule sets, learning how to play the game and teaching others. This was often the only way I could get others to play with me. I found joy in figuring out how a game works and learning how game mechanics in general function. I have brought this understanding of rules and mechanics to the TTRPG games that I run. But that isn't to say I let the rules have the last laugh, knowing the rules as well as I do allows me to break know how to let those rules be broken in the name of great story. As a Game Master, I bring not only a vast understanding of the game, but a seamless integration of character backstory for all the player characters into a beautiful connected story for all involved. It is my favorite thing to do as a Game Master. Taking pieces and parts from every player to create a unique, grounded and targeted story, creating opportunities for every player to shine. I strive to create a safe storytelling space where all involved can explore different experiences to their heart's content. To me the best feeling in the world is creating a space that players enjoy playing in and can't wait to return to week after week. I am absolutely new player friendly and am always happy to introduce players to the joy that is collaborative story telling. I have experience running games for people of all ages from 10 to 60+ and would be happy to have players of any age at my tables. I am also LGBTQ+ friendly. I insist on safe space for all involved and require respect for all parties at my table. I do not discriminate nor do I allow discrimination of any kind in any of my games. I also a zero tolerance policy for any offenses. I am here to have fun creating stories with all of you and hope to see you playing at my table soon. Happy Gaming.

GM Style

I run games with a good balance of all pillars of play. I have tendency to have a slight focus on role play. I also always adjust every game I run to the players, their backstories, and the choices they make in game. Actions, mores specifically choices, will have story consequences. I strive to help create an impactful story at all times. I do introduce character voices into the story, but I will admit it is a skill I am continuing to build upon. I strive to better each and every session I run. I reward creative thinking and enjoy seeing players stretch their creative muscles in new and different ways. My vast understanding of the rules allows me to understand when they deserve to be bent or broken in the name of good storytelling. My favorite part of running games is creating a story every one at the table is invested in. Collaborative storytelling is my favorite part of the game. Using backstory and character choices to inform the story and allow everyone to experience an invested game. FUN is the name of the game!!
