About the adventure
On the Sword Coast of Faerûn lies Waterdeep, the City of Splendours. This city is a cosmopolitan jungle, filled with every weird and wonderful creature from every corner of the Forgotten Realms. The peak of technological and magical development are protected by the huge stone walls, guarded by the City Watch, determined to "Keep the blood off the streets" and enforce the “Code Legal”. The city is surrounded in an enchantment known as "The Dragon Ward", protecting the citizens from the threat of the many dragon lairs along the Sword Coast. The enchantment is maintained by "The Blackstaff", a title passed down to the most promising Wizard of the Blackstaff academy. As you enter through the Lion's Gate, you see a boiling pot of cultures, magic and a steampunk style technology. Towering above the city are the Walking Statues, silent stone guardians that nobody has seen move in many years, watching...waiting. In the Castle Ward lies the Lord's Palace, ruled over by the Lady Mage of Waterdeep, Laeral Silverhand and the “Masked Lords", a secretive group of nobility that run the city from the shadows. On the streets, the Watch struggle to tackle the rise of gangs, the most notable being the thieves guild know as the Zhentarim and their rivals, the mysterious Xanathar Guild. This homebrew adventure starts on Deepwater Isle, a small island off the coast of the Mistshore. It is home to the newest marvel of Waterdavian innovation "Sky Piercers", a new variant of airship. To afford a luxury of this type would cost a lot of golden coins, and hence has attracted unsavoury attention. The City Watch believe one of their prototypes have been hijacked by "The Red Twins", 2 Red Wizards of Thay, powerful dark sorcerers from the East. The Lords of Waterdeep would be willing to pay a huge sum to any adventurer willing to go toe to toe with these Red Wizards...do you have what it takes?

About me
Hey, I'm Kahar and I've been DMing for 3 years for DnD. I have introduced my friends to the game that previously felt uncomfortable trying TTRPs and would like to offer that experience to new players. My table is a safe space for new players and veterans alike, with a focus on roleplaying, character development and a challenging but fair combat experience. My games are primarily set in the city of Waterdeep, I find the city of splendours to be such an immersive and fun environment to run and play and I hope I can share my interpretation of the wonders of Waterdeep with as many as possible.

Creating your character
This session is decided for people with at least a base understanding of the DnD 5E system. We'll be utilising level 5 characters, with a point buy system and 1 feat from level one. You'll also be allowed 500 gold worth of items from the item shop, using the listed prices I will provide. In the week before the session begins, I'll request to see your character sheet before hand to ensure everything is right and discuss any questions or concerns you may have.

How Kahar creates a safe table
I utilise the X, N & O system, which I have integrated into the Roll20 application. I've set up for you to be able to do this anonymously or with your name attached. This will allow you to notify me that the topics being discussed or played are not to your liking and you'd like us to move on or discuss what's happening out of character. In addition to this, I utilise a consent form so that you can make me aware of any issues, concepts or ideas you don't want to be surprised by at my table. I'll do my best to ensure all players at the table are checked over by myself to ensure they "fit" with the vibe of our players and I'm always available to debrief afterwards for anything you didn't like for me to consider for future sessions with yourself or other people. I have a 0 tolerance policy to intolerance at my table and if you ever feel "uncomfy" then I will do whatever I can to make you feel safe at my table. I also understanding learning, roleplaying and combat can be a lot, you'll be given time to take your turns with help and explanation from me, with no tolerance to other players trying to bully or pressure you. My sessions will always include at least one 15 minute break, just to ensure it doesn't become too overwhelming. I am committed to learning, improving and being as accommodating as I can, if you have any concerns or questions you can feel free to DM me prior to booking on this platform or via discord.
