About the adventure
Mystery takes on written form when pages from a disturbing manuscript fall into the investigators’ hands. A series of scrawled messages, comprising a free-floating cacophony of facts, speculations, and fevered imaginings, portends cryptic doom. Preliminary inquiries reveal that they are written in the hand of Dr. Henry Armitage, director emeritus of the Mistakonic University Library. However, he has no recollection of having written them, nor the events they relate. Set in Arkham in 1934, you are students attending Miskatonic University and members of The Society for the Exploration of the Unexplained. Dr. Armitage has asked for this student club for help unraveling the truth behind these mysterious manuscripts. As players, you choose which manuscript to investigate, and which leads to follow, directing your own campaign based on the elements that interest your group. As you do so, the greater threat will gradually be revealed, a threat possibly of your own making. INSPIRATIONS: 'The Dunwich Horror' and 'Call of Cthulhu' (Lovecraft's stories), the 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' TV series, and the film, 'In the Mouth of Madness'.

About me
Hi there, I'm Casey. If you enjoy mystery, a little horror, and a focus on roleplay and engagement, one of my games might be for you. I've been involved in this awesome hobby since the early nineties and have yet to grow tired of it. In that time, I've moved away from crunchy, tactical games to character focused stories, because for me, it's best when everyone can collaborate and 'play to see what happens.' Whether it's a long running game, like our 4.5 year Vampire campaign that spanned centuries, taking players from freshly embraced noobs to infamous elders, or a one-shot of Call of Cthulhu designed to introduce new players to the game, your input as players is what keeps things interesting and engaging for everyone. And connecting with the wide and diverse players that have joined my games makes it all that much better! 🎲 If you see a game that interests you, but the time slot doesn't work, message me. I might be able to accommodate. 🎲

Creating your character
♦️Session 0: Character creation and rules overview, safety tools, and general orientation. If you join later, I'll help you generate your investigator before you join the game. ♦️We'll be building investigators who are students attending Miskatonic. For this, we'll be using the guidelines presented in "A Time to Harvest". ♦️Because this is a character driven campaign, we will also be spending a bit of time developing character drives (what motivates them to investigate the mythos) and connections (to each other and the other denizens of Arkham).
