How to prepare

Knowledge of the Rules Basic Rules Understanding: While you don't need to be an expert, I would appreciate it if you could have a basic knowledge of the D&D rules. This will help our sessions run more smoothly and allow us to focus on the story and gameplay. However, if you are completely new, that is fine too. Character Creation Characters: You do not need to create your characters ahead of time. We will go through the character creation process together during Session 0. How will character creation work

Character Creation Process When and Where Character creation will take place during Session 0. This session is dedicated to setting up your characters and integrating them into the world and storyline of our campaign. Stat Generation For determining your character's abilities, we will use the method of rolling four six-sided dice (4d6) and dropping the lowest die. This method ensures a balanced and varied set of stats that can make your character both unique and capable. Starting Level All characters will start at Level 1. This allows us to grow and develop your characters' stories and abilities from the very beginning, creating a rich narrative journey together. Source Material You have access to some Dungeons & Dragons sourcebooks for character creation. Whether it's the Player's Handbook, Xanathar's Guide to Everything, Tasha's Cauldron of Everything, or any other official material, feel free to draw from any of these resources to build your character. Integration with Campaign During Session 0, we'll also discuss how your character fits into the world and the overarching campaign themes. Consider how the corruption and darkness have impacted your character, and how their personal goals align with the campaign's narrative.
