Cosmo is a skilled storyteller and is particularly talented at bringing NPCs to life. I've been through several sessions with him and it has all gone very smoothly and have had a lot of fun. He knows what he's doing and has good intuition for pacing the encounters for the right amount of tension, exploration, humor, and combat. He's also well-organized with the logistics of keeping the players connected and informed between sessions which is very appreciated, especially in a virtual space.

Cosmo provided my introduction to the world of virtual D&D, and he set an incredibly high bar. Was very patient with the new players and helped in character creation in session 0, had very good rules and found out what affected each player before the session which was very nice, never directly shot down ideas but found work arounds for them which worked for both the story and the players, very funny and had us laughing in the downtime of the sessions.

I realized something when i play with Cosmo that’s hard to admit…but true. Cosmo is so good as a DM he made me realize how bad i am when I DM. It’s not like the guy is just inherently talented as a DM. He puts time into every session. It’s evident. He doesn’t just “log in at game time” and run x-y-z characters through a story. He sits down with you and wants to know your characters story. He wants to make it part of his story. I was literally captivated by another players backstory tie-in my first day in. It’s awesome.

What I provide
🎲 NEW PLAYER FRIENDLY! If this is your first ever game of DND, then don't fret! I love helping new players discover this wonderful hobby. 🎲 This campaign will have dark themes. If there any lines or triggers that you have, then please let me know so that I can adjust things accordingly. 🎲 We will use Foundry VTT to play the actual game, DNDBeyond for character creation and Discord for voice chat (video is optional). 🎲 I like lots of role play in my TTRPGS, both as a GM and a player. There will also of course be plenty chances for combat, exploration and a few puzzles. 🎲 This campaign will have its challenges. The battles will be crunchy and challenging. Character death is a real possibility in this campaign. Have ideas for back up characters in mind. 🎲 I like to do voices and really get into character. For players, it's up to you how much you want to get into it. There's no pressure at all to be on the Critical Roll level! But if you want to, by all means bring it on! 🎲 Helpful discussions at the table are encouraged. However, overt-metagaming and telling other people how to play their characters and the DM how to run the game will not be tolerated. 🎲 There will be a ten minute break half-way through sessions for bathroom and snack breaks.

- We will have a small 'session 0' one-on-one type chat by message or on a discord call before the game starts to talk about the game. We will cover any lines, veils and triggers you may have, your expectations of the game as well as mine, and to see if it's the right campaign for you. - My tables are inclusive and welcoming spaces for all. Any racism, homophobia, transphobia or general bigoted behaviour will not be tolerated.

How will character creation work
On DNDBeyond. If you only have access to the free version then let me know and I will invite you to the campaign, where I have some of the extra materials unlocked. Both standard array and point buy are fine. You can use starting equipment or gold appropriate for your level. Feel free to use all Critical Roll materials and standard DND materials up to Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos. If you want something outside of these materials, let me know and we can workshop it. Please make: A level 3 character Fixed HP levelling I don't have any restrictions on races / classes - just let me know the idea of you character in case we need to workshop something Standard array or point buy are fine You can choose from starting equipment or gold Feats and multiclassing are fine Please also provide a back story for your character before the start of the first session. This could be a few paragraphs or a few pages, just not a novel length backstory please! :-)
