About the adventure
An ancient tomb disturbed. Evil lurking. Brave the forgotten catacombs, fight evil, and learn the mystery of the Forgotten King. Your mission: - Save the lost villagers - Find who invaded the ancient tombs and why - Uncover and stop an evil plot by all means A classic dungeon crawl from 3.5e, updated to play in 5e, and presented in the 3D maps of TaleSpire, this is a great campaign. Face off against variety of enemies as you uncover the evil plot, and pursue evil thru multiple environments. This dungeon crawl focuses on creative combat in unique environments, with plenty of variety. Roleplay the hero and face dire odds. TaleSpire is a 3D VTT allowing greater depth and detail to the combat. I've had a vivid imagination since I can remember, thinking of entire books and films in my head. When I found DND and TTRPGs, there was a place to put that imagination to share with others. Creating your character
Character creation will happen over Discord and DNDBeyond. Please think of one or two characters you would have fun playing. Character levels start at level 3, and we will finalize in session 0. Evil characters are highly unlikely to be allowed, but you are welcome to make a brief argument. Limitations and specifics will be specified in Discord and DNDBeyond.
Updated from 3.5e to 5e, and now played on custom maps. Mystery, an evil plot, and exploration are all great classic elements updated to modern playing standards. Time to roleplay the brave and pursue the evil plot.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need Zoom downloaded with Microphone available, and to be familiar enough with DNDBeyond to create a character. Players will NOT need a paid version of Zoom, DNDBeyond, or TaleSpire. The FREE version of Zoom and DNDBeyond is needed. The FREE version of TaleSpire is preferred but not required. Webcam is strongly recommended, but not required. If players can't see you roll your eyes, don't expect them to know you're annoyed. You are expected to know how to at least use your character optimally for a standard turn. I.e. the range of your crossbow, the damage of your weapon, what is the saving throw for your cantrip spell, etc. If you are not aware MENTION THIS BEFORE/DURING SESSION 0 so that we can get you used to how combat happens prior to there being stakes in the game. This campaign can be intense depending on character decisions, so confidence in combat is necessary.
What Robert Gnome brings to the table
DM provides custom TaleSpire maps, variety sourcebooks on DNDBeyond, and Discord server. Custom HeroForge minis are available for import into the VTT at DM's discretion. DM has the full, premium versions of software, so players DO NOT need to spend any money on TaleSpire, DNDBeyond, or Zoom.

How Robert Gnome creates a safe table
This campaign makes active use of X/N/O (or Red, Yellow, Green) to make sure everyone is comfortable and doesn't go too far when someone thinks they may become uncomfortable. Safety precautions are in place as this campaign can be **INTENSE** in combat and dire situations. Environments can be hostile or intimidating. Enemies are EVIL and not afraid to show it with acts of extreme violence to intimidate. That said, consent forms are used so you can be appropriately warned, and intense elements are held back if they hit too close to home for some players. DM is willing to discuss in advance what dangers may be happening so you are not uncomfortable or caught off-guard. Sexual themes/sexual violence are practically non-existent in this campaign.
