In Escaping Tesora you'll be a group of friends who are sucked into the world of a high fantasy escape room! You'll have to fight your way back to the real world with the help of your newly acquired Avatar bodies and the allies you make along the way! Now equipped with magical abilities and powerful new skills, you can reach your full potential in the escape room's fantastical world... But is this really just a game? Inspired by Jumanji, this homebrew D&D campaign will explore themes of self discovery, pop culture references, chosen family, and intrigue! This campaign is for 4 to 6 players of 1st - 10th Level. No prior experience is necessary – all you need is your imagination and a sense of adventure! About me
Hey I'm Charlene, but most people call me Char! I'm a professional Actor with over 2 decades of acting experience, including voice acting for Netflix and Electronic Arts productions. Creating your character
- Players will need to join the D&D Beyond Campaign that will be sent to you via email, it will have all D&D Beyond books unlocked. - We will be rolling for stats (or you can choose Point Buy if you wish). You can roll 3 sets of dice and choose whichever set works for you. No stats can be above 18 at level 1. - You are welcome to use a provided pre-gen character if you wish. - Our first session will be a session zero, you should come with some ideas for a character but do not have to have your sheet ready.

What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need: - A steady internet connection. - A free D&D Beyond Account (https://www.dndbeyond.com/create-account). - A microphone. - A webcam (optional). - Players will need to join the D&D Beyond Campaign (link provided once signed up), create their character, and fill out the Lines and Veils sheet before the first session. - Optional: some way to take notes (pen and paper, google doc, etc)
What Charlene Bayer brings to the table
- All D&D Beyond books will be unlocked for your use in the D&D Beyond Campaign. - Ambient music will be used to help transport everyone into the fantastical world of Tesora! - Rule of Cool will be embraced! The GM will go over expectations with everyone during the session zero about how we want to balance roleplay/combat/exploration during the game. - Everyone will get a custom digital token for use on Roll20 (either through Hero Forge or through Baldur's Gate 3 Character Generator). - High quality battle maps and scenic art will be used on Roll20 to increase immersion.
Homebrew rules
📖 House Rules: - Drinking a potion can be done as a bonus action (roll for it) or as an action (max HP). - Nat 1s and Nat 20s are automatic criticals. - Magic Scroll Usage: Arcana DC is 10 + spell level - If you don't feel comfortable doing a character voice, that is totally ok!

How Charlene Bayer creates a safe table
- A lines and veils consent form will be sent out in advance along with the D&D Beyond Campaign Link and Roll20 Link. Please fill it out to the best of your ability before our session, and we can go over it during the session. - The Content Warnings listed are a guideline, all content will be adjusted to the comfort of all players! - We will have a full session zero featuring introductions, safety tool explanation, and expectations for the game. - A 15 minute break will happen at the halfway mark of every session. - If at any time during the session you feel uncomfortable or unsafe, you can type X in chat, say X out loud, or make an X on camera and I will stop the scene and address the problem. - At the end of the session we will do "Stars and Wishes" where everyone who would like to can share their favorite parts of the game and what they'd like to have more of in the next session.
