About me

Back in the 2000s, or the long long ago as I now call it, a friend of mine introduced me to Dungeons and Dragons 3.5. Ever since then I've been addicted to the game and watched it grow from a relatively niche hobby into the dynamic and expansive game it is today. I want to offer you the opportunity to experience the extraordinary, the adventure, the peril, the odyssey of your own fantasy. Band together with your friends and come make memories that you'll hold in your heart for years to come. Or perhaps step into my arena and slay friends and strangers alike to test your talents as a character builder! Whether you're a cooperative adventurer or a number-minded powergamer, I have a game just for you. So come along and pick a path of your own, step into the shoes of your own legend, and I'll be your guide to the fantastical worlds of Dungeons and Dragons!

Character creation

Creating your character

You'll be starting off with level 10 adventurers. We will have a free session zero before the date of the first game where I help you build your characters and we will discuss backgrounds. We'll be using DnD Beyond for character building.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need a mic, Roll 20 account, D&D beyond account, and Discord (downloading it isn't needed, but helps). All dice rolls will be digital; no at home rolls will be accepted.

What Kevin brings to the table

I'm bringing every character creation option in DnD Beyond, a campaign link you will be able to make your character with online, and all the Roll 20 virtual maps and monsters we'll be using for the games.

Homebrew rules

Homebrew rules are decided during session 0. Feel free to suggest any that you enjoy!

Safety

How Kevin creates a safe table

This is a campaign for my evening Vecna: Eve of Ruin game. Players should ideally be able to make it to each subsequent game thereafter until the campaign's completion, and I'll work with players to make a schedule work out. This is a full campaign, so players should expect a mix of combat, roleplay, and puzzle solving. I'll be using the Open Door safety tool for this game. If at any point you're uncomfortable and need a break, feel free to take one, no warning necessary. I'll also try to take a break midway through the game to ensure players don't get too worn out. I will be using Syrinscape to create ambient moods, sound effects, and music as appropriate. You may elect not to use it if you are sound sensitive.
