About the adventure
Inspired by the Eragon/Inheritance series, Tales of Alagaesia takes you on the journey of becoming a Dragon Rider, serving the realm of Alagaesia and interacting with the various races, civilizations, and factions within! This is a homebrew campaign where you will be controlling both your character and your dragon companion! The possibilities for adventure in this world are near limitless, but be weary, because there are many out there who covet the power that you now hold...

About me
Hi, my name is Austin! I've been a big fan of games like DND, MTG, and others for years. I've always been a massive fan of dragons and swords - I'm a simple man. I took up being a GM when I realized how much fun it would be to turn my favorite book series (Eragon/Inheritance Cycle) into a campaign - and that's exactly what I did! I built my first campaign around being a prequel to my favorite series and it has been an absolute blast to run and watch it develop. Creating your character
We'll dive deeper into character creation during Session 0. Characters will start at level 6. Try your best to have at least a hand in both melee/ranged combat and magic, but it's perfectly okay to be more proficient or lean more towards one or theother! Characters should be created in DND Beyond whenever possible. Stats can be decided either via point buy or by rolled dice done on a video call. You now have a dragon companion. What more do I need to say? As a Dragon Rider, you serve the land of Alagaesia, battling evils, saving cities, and even keeping the peace between nations. Your power and skill will be tested, and boundaries will be pushed! But you also have a whole dragon at your side so that definitely helps. Don't worry though, you're definitely not going to sweep straight through. Encounters are adjusted for your power level so that you can have fun but also enjoy a challenge!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Microphone is required, webcam is not. Preferred character creation and character sheets is via DND Beyond, but I can be flexible as well! Character creation recommendations will be reviewed during Session 0.
What GM Austin (Maximas) brings to the table
I'll utilize custom maps (AI-generated via Dungeon Alchemist), and some custom tokens as well. I try my best to provide artwork for visuals on various new races or people that are introduced, and will use AI-generated art so that I can provide something without violating copyright. I try my best with character voices, but I'm definitely not too great with them. I also love Rule of Cool and will utilize it with reason. I'll use video on via discord for myself but do not expect video on for any players.
