About the adventure
DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE! An eldritch storm of falling stars devastated the city on that woeful eve, leaving behind a meteorite that would have lasting effects. Fifteen years later, Drakkenheim is a dismal urban wasteland contaminated by otherworldly magic and haunted by hideous monsters. Fantastic wealth, lost knowledge, and powerful artifacts lie ready for the taking by adventurers brave or foolish enough to venture into the ruins. However, even those who survive the dangers of Drakkenheim may not return unmarked by its terrors! This campaign will go from 1st to 13th level. About me
“I will be your science teacher today…” are the words I said four times daily for the last thirteen years. I had always told my students to “follow their passions” but I realized I never really followed my own advice. So here I am. I have sold my soul to Dungeons and Dragons and now I am a professional Dungeon Master, and it seems to be working well :). I have been a Dungeon Master since the Earth started cooling (actually it was the 80's) and I feel honored every single time that I can bring excitement and adventure to my players in a relaxed & safe environment. Everyone at my table is accepted for who they are because we are all here to have a good time and maybe make some new friends. My goal is to work with my players to tell an amazing story where they get to be the heroes and I get to be their biggest fan. This is my passion. My promise to you as a Dungeon Master: Before each game I will give you clear instructions and I will be available to answer any questions you might have so that your game experience is the best it can possibly be. During the game I will listen to you and treat you with respect and kindness. I am happy to teach new players and I am happy to learn from experienced ones as well as this is a social game and we all have something to contribute. And my focus will be to give you an unforgettable, epic adventure that will be full of excitement and possibly some of my quirky humor. In conclusion... Creating your character
Character creation will occur during session zero or outside the session with DM approval. They will be created in DnD Beyond and you will have full access to all the materials on the website.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a mic and the AboveVTT free extension downloaded for either Google Chrome or Firefox. A basic knowledge of the rules is preferred but I am willing to work with new players.
