About me

I aim to spark some ✨magic in your week; a few hours closer to a full schedule of life-fulfillment. That may sound lofty, but that's how it feels for me to play these games with you! šŸŽ Role-Play is lighthearted and improvised with occasional adult themes. āš”ļø Combat will take your party to the brink of defeat often. Keep your wits to stay alive. We're playing on an optimized Foundry VTT. Picture your character navigating interconnected maps, like a video game. If you like playing online, you are going to really enjoy this! Join my Discord: https://discord.gg/gcn2rnXJgH

Character creation

Creating your character

We will have a session zero call to discuss what to expect for the campaign, and what kind of party composition everyone wants to participate in or if you want any help creating a character and discuss backstory. • Starting at level 3. • All official character options should be fine as long its not a laser gun or a stockbroker. • Stats: Point Buy or a live-at-the-session dice roll to determine stats. • Backstory: If you know where your character is from and what they are driven by, that should be enough to start. If you have more, thats wonderful. There are guides/followers that once acquired, can be played in combat by a player in addition to their character.

The current party

Current Party: Bard/Cleric, Warlock -- Level 4.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Along with a computer and a quiet space, you will need: • Mic, headset & webcam • discord.com account for video chat. • forge-vtt.com account for game board. Both are simple email logins; no additional purchase or downloads required.

What Cal brings to the table

I host games using Foundry VTT, where your character will travel through connected maps like a video game. Combat will take your party to brink of defeat often. Keep your wits to stay alive. We're playing on the the most optimized, streamlined version of 5e combat through Foundry VTT. I think if you like playing D&D online, you are going to really enjoy this! Good role play, to me, looks like a good improv sketch; unpredictable, channeling the character's intentions, and responding to one another naturally. No sweat if you're not a pro role-player, my voice range is... getting better... but if we all play pretend, as our characters, it's gonna work out fine! I'm inspired by lighthearted adventurous stories at odds with ominous forces and fierce combats. General vibe: Final Fantasy X. True Neutral DM style; leaning slightly towards the good for the newbies. Rule of Cool applies and balance always seeks itself.

Safety

How Cal creates a safe table

You are most welcome to state your needs any time. Thank you for communicating! This campaign contains grim subject matter through and through. Characters in this campaign work together to defeat evil. Characters may bicker, be greedy or squabble with one another, but are ultimately unified together for good. Joking and teasing with your teammates is A-OK at my table, just be respectful of everyone's lines. Do not cross the lines! Problem behavior will be dealt with swiftly.
