About the adventure

Welcome to Skate Wizards: A steezy roleplaying game all about the radical and arcane shredding of the gnar by Michael H. Siung! In this wacky one-shot, players will make their characters, a group of immortal wizards whose arcane life force is tied directly to their skateboards, and they will go on a mystical quest to recover long-lost relics of a time whence these immortal Skate Wizards ruled the world... The Skate Wizards system is rules light, easy to learn, and sure to be a blast.

About me

Hi! I'm Marcus. I'm an avid writer, psychology student, and game master with almost ten years of experience running Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition. I'm currently branching out into different games to broaden my experience as a game master and improve my storytelling abilities. The only thing I'm more passionate about than psychology is writing, worldbuilding, and voicing characters. I like immersive games that allow me to express myself through my worldbuilding, I love building compelling and cathartic stories with my players, and I live for the reactions that I can give to them, whether it's laughing, crying, or screaming out in rage. Things I Like: - Engaging Stories - Enthusiastic Players - Cooperative & Socially-Motivated Players - Compelling Characters - Finding Fun In Low Rolls - ONE-ON-ONE GAMES (Duet Style) Things I Don't Like: - Table Drama - Distractions - PC-VS-PC Conflict - Being An Adversarial DM There's nothing that makes me happier than telling awesome stories, and if you'd like to tell a story with me, I'd love to hear from you!

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation is simple and speedy, so as long as you show up ready to be a sick wizard who can also shred, you're down to have a quick and easy time creating a cool skate wizard.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

This will be a light-hearted, rules light one shot. Overall, not too much is needed to prepare in advance. Players will need: - A mic - A discord profile - Physical dice

What Marcus brings to the table

I will bring: - A PDF file of the rules with multiple screenshots of tables that players will roll on for quick player reference - A discord server - Physical dice

Safety

How Marcus creates a safe table

For this adventure, players will be skate wizards who are on a quest to find the eversmoking pipe, a coveted Skate Wizard artifact that holds magic leaves that forever smolder... They will have to use their sick skate spells to create ramps, rails, and sidewalks to traverse through the dangerous dungeons, use wacky and wild "Rando Spells" to creatively get themselves out of some jams, and have a cache of backup tapes of bootleg spells that can help them out in ways they may discover along the way. In this one-shot, there will most likely be swearing and references to drug use, but will otherwise be fairly PG.
