Welcome to Humblewood! - Lv 6-8 campaign

Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign

About the adventure

Hello everyone! A temporary peace deal has been brokered with the Bandit Coalition & the ruling Birdfolk. The Wood is on fire, chaos seems to be building everywhere, & there is a GIANT FLAMING CREATURE in the Scorched Grove. The Wood needs heroes, but will you be the ones to rise up or will you add more fuel to the fires? The party is Level 6, but we'll end the campaign around Level 8. This game is high on roleplay with challenging encounters. The party has been generally Lawful Good with a bit of chaos thrown in. All the players are also very supportive & welcoming to new members. Current Roster: Bright Gallus Samurai Fighter; Pronghorn Cervan Oath of Ancients Paladin; Mapach Forge Cleric

I thoroughly enjoy my game sessions with Cake at the helm. He encourages player creativity, rewards thinking out of the box and you never feel like he's out to get the players. Don't get me wrong, he throws challenging combat at you, tough skill checks, but he also allows the characters to be strong and heroic. He keeps a good pace, provides roleplaying opportunities and is just all around a high quality GM!

If I could give 10 stars I would! I have played many sessions with Cake for the past few months and... wow! The world building, the NPCs, the lore, creativity and so so so much more. I have loved every moment of every campaign and one shot adventure. If you like challenging encounters, great RP, and engaging story telling, then look no further! I would 100% recommend joining any of the amazing adventures Cake has planned. I can only choose 3 tags so I'm adding more here :) (Allows for player creativity, Knows the Rules, Rule of Cool, Good for beginners, Incredible Visual Aids, Amazing and fun voices, World Builder) *The list continues...*

I recently joined a one-shot D&D session with Cake as the GM, and it was an absolute blast. As a new player, I really appreciated how patient and kind he was, making the whole experience stress-free and fun. Cake was super chill and gave us plenty of room to get creative with our characters and decisions. He nailed the traditional D&D vibe while also adding his own unique twists to the story. It makes perfect sense that he’d run an adventure in Humblewood because he was a truly selfless host. If you're looking for a fun and fresh D&D game, Cake is your guy!

Amazing, patient GM who does his best to make sure all players feel heard and are having fun! Cake allows ample opportunity for roleplay but also very fun challenging battles. He encourages all players to make creative choices during the game and doesn't stick to a strict script of how he wants the games to go down. His games are for people of all experience levels, and he was very helpful with me when I was struggling to make my character as I had never used Roll20 before. Can't recommend this guy enough!!

Amazing DM. The scenarios are so immersive, Cake lets every member of the party shine, he's respectful of everyone, and every game I'm in with him is a delight. I can't recommend him enough. He's a gifted storyteller, and twice have I been driven close to tears from emotional moments in his games.

Cake was great at encouraging and cheering on the players. He structured the session so each player could take a moment in the spotlight without feeling rushed or that we were stepping on other player's toes. He was patient with newer players, but in a way that didn't slow down the game. And I appreciated how we had a quick Session 0 to get to know the other players before we jumped into character. I'll be back!

What I provide

I'll be bringing all the digital dice, the adventure, art (character art if needed), music, & reliable bookings. It's very rare I cancel a session.

How will character creation work

We'll have a Session 0 to discuss the adventure & character creation. Stats will be Point Buy or Standard Array. All WOTC subclasses will be available for use. Races will all be from the Humblewood setting. If you have a homebrew or third-party choice, I'm more than happy to look at it & see what we can do.
