Responding to THAT Review: I don't usually respond to reviews, but given the nature of this one and the fact that it remains publicly visible, I feel a response is warranted. - I don't ignore players. This player waited two days on one occasion because I take one day off each week. They messaged me on my day off, and I replied the following day. - Players were never expected to answer questions on my behalf. One game-related question was asked to the players, but it was never sent to me. I was actually the last person to respond in that exchange and followed up later that same day. The other questions were character-related questions intended for players to ask one another as part of Daggerheart, so I don't consider this a valid criticism. - The pacing criticism is misleading. My reviews consistently highlight storytelling, and pacing naturally varies from party to party. - There was one point where pacing slowed because this player chose to split from the group at the first opportunity, made little effort to engage with the other players, and began playing through parts of the module alone. The spotlight then shifted to the other three players who were actively engaging as a group. - As for "cringe," I'll happily own that one. I don't care about seeming silly, absurd, or weird, and I create an environment where my players don't have to care either. If someone doesn't enjoy that style, that's completely fine. I'd rather attract players who do.
