About the adventure

Starting Time could be adjusted by a few hours as players prefer. Starting Level depends on Player interest and would be 1 or 3. This is an entry for short form adventures based in a custom homebrew campaign. This involves several linked dungeons and some exploration of the world around as the players discover and deal with various threats and problems. Whether the party is just setting out on their first few adventures or are already somewhat established and seasoned, adventure and danger await! Session 0 will commence once 3-4 players are incorporated. Additional players are welcome to join afterwards as well as this campaign does incorporate character hooks providing new players or characters a reason to join. Ancient empires built upon the corpses of giants have faded away into warring city states. As the giants try to reclaim former glory and the bestial nomadic denizens of the northern savannah hunt any interlopers daring to try and bring cities to the land, the corruption of aged dust spreads. An Arcanocracy forms as powerful mages realize the beings so often called deities feed on their mortal servants with little given back for their faith. The faithful do not take kindly to such limited perceptions and conflict ensues across that continent. Dragons and their kind believe they possess a different soul that undergoes reincarnation based upon their deeds. As one dies they may find themselves reborn anew, from kobold through abishai, dragonborn to dragon. Gnomes have created an Impire, conquering their continent with the help of infernal contract. Across their lands crawls the great snakeway, an ever moving caravan of building sized carriages pulled and pushed along by the souls of those who have come before. Born from death and fueled by life, necromancy endures nearby as enough undead band together to hold their own section of what many mortals would consider inhospitable lands. Further south still, the southern snow savages wander around the pole and raid the nearby lands, constantly on the move to stay away from something they will not approach, keeping it caged or staying on the run.

About me

Hello to one and hello to all. Fantasy has a way of immersing us within it the same way we consume those stories it shares. I have been playing or running RPG games off and on during the past three decades. Throughout various systems and new versions there always seems something new to learn or a way to grow. I have experience running with established campaign settings and full homebrew content as well. Whether it is a pre-written adventure, a custom modular campaign or an open ended journey full of discovery and exploration; I can provide as storyteller and gamemaster. I believe that gaming is about having fun, for yourself and with those you play with. If a player wants to do something, I try to say yes and figure out a way to make it work. Because of this I try to provide a flexible foundation for collaborative storytelling between players and the challenges they face. First and foremost in my games is the story and how the player characters fit within it-interacting with each other or NPCs. Combat and dice rolling is secondary but still creates the framework within which the story is told.

Safety

How Stephen Forrest creates a safe table

Players can expect a mixture of zoomed in roleplay and more zoomed out narrative descriptions of events. Enemies in combat may have an interest in killing the players and some may be willing to retreat or surrender. Session 0 is free of charge and largely to try and provide additional information and interaction for both Players and DM to determine if the Table is suited. Session 0 Notes including Safety Tools and Established Expectations are available to reference at that time and beyond. Generally I stay a few minutes after game if there is anything to discuss, likewise ask before beginning a session the same. I check in regularly on my players and their goals/expectations for their character or the campaign.
