About the adventure
Welcome to Lorval! A small continent with a strange history. Blesses by the gods this world is diverse not only in people, but lands. Going from one extreme to another this land is not to be taken lightly. But now there's a problem, the gods are going quite. Many Belive the gods abandoned them, other say they never existed. But what's truly happening is much more horrific. Your party will begin as prisoners who have been given a chance to run the gauntlet. Your character could have been a criminal, falsely imprisoned, captured by an enemy, and so on. But each of you have been imprisoned for one reason or another, whether justified or not. Once a year, 30 prisoners are given a chance at freedom but must pass the trials of the gauntlet and if successful, will find a world they do not recognize. Exploring the world and discovering new places in people that just might lead you to the answers that could save everyone, or bring them to ruin. This will have a large mix of Combat, RP, puzzles, and intense moments. Many of these could change the games direction at any moment. The story will continue to evolve around your choices and your actions will affect the world as a whole.

I have been a DM for D&D 5e since 2016. I started in college and never stopped. I love TTRPG'S and everything about them! Creating your character
Characters will be created together in a session 0 to ensure we have everything together. D&D beyond is recommended so I can help keep track but it's not necessary. All characters will be level 1 at start and will build in level until the game concludes.
Discord, roll20, and DnDbeyond accounts needed.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A mic is necessary, web cam is not. Rules are on the discord which all will be invited too, but we will discuss the rules together and alter any they may not like or wish to change. All dice will be rolled digital to prevent cheating.
What Darien Noel brings to the table
Mostly will be theater of the mind except for some combat scenarios amd major cities. I will also be providing digital menus for some taverns and town maps for those that will have them.

How Darien Noel creates a safe table
Players can expect combat to get more intense as the game goes on, with a chance of character death. But the story will favor the characters and anything that may make you uncomfortable will be taken into consideration and be limited if not removed entirely. There are some homebrew rules I've used in the past that can be discussed with the group on what and what not to use.
