About the adventure
Rappan Athuk, the legendary Dungeon of Graves. Many brave adventurers have delved into its depths and not returned to tell the tale. A place of unspeakable evil and untold wealth, rumours have begun to swirl that something dark stirs beneath the earth of the Stoneheart Valley. Could the evil that was buried below be restless? Summoned by the wizard Corian, you are the latest in a series of expeditions to the region. Your mission? Investigate rumours of disappearances and growing violence in the region and, when the time is right, strike for Rappan Athuk proper to see what stirs below. ---------- This campaign will make extensive use of Frog God Games' excellent Lost Lands setting. Not only will we have Rappan Athuk on the table, but Stoneheart Valley, The Lost City of Barakus, Sword of Air, Slumbering Tsar, and more are included in this sprawling sandbox. ---------- ## About My Style Pathfinder has a reputation for being a power gamer's paradise, and I'd like to cut that off at the pass. I don't DM games that encourage power gaming, nor will a power game last long at my table. While I'm all for building an optimised character to tackle the hazards that lie ahead, I do not tolerate metagaming, cynical builds aimed at 'breaking' the game, oppositional play, or any kind of play that will force others to engage in an arms race to keep up. We'll be working together to tell a story, and while there will be challenges thrown in front of you that you should absolutely prepare for, I do not want the game to devolve into a GM vs players fiasco that makes the game unfun for anybody. I love to challenge my players with unique combats and scenarios, but I am also a big fan of roleplay and character development. I want to work with you to have ghosts from your past come back to haunt you, or to engineer unique character moments for you to undertake alongside your allies. I'm a story first, combat/puzzles/traps second, and min-maxing a distant last kind of guy. If that doesn't sound like you, chances are you aren't going to enjoy this style of game. ------ ### What I Need from You I'm looking for a committed group of players who can handle fortnightly sessions. You don't need to come to the table with a pre-built character (in fact, you should definitely *not* to that), but I would like you to consider a few questions: 1. What is your experience level with the Pathfinder system? 2. Have you previously played Rappan Athuk, the Crucible of Freya, Slumbering Tsar, or any other Necromancer Games module? If so, how far did you make it? 3. What percentage of roleplay, combat, and puzzles/traps do you prefer? 4. What time zone are you in? ----- CURRENT PARTY 1. Zurstead: Level 4 Hobgoblin Sacred Shield Paladin 2. Kill'Bill: Level 4 Catfolk Ninja 3. Okla of Sobeck: Level 4 Lizardfolk Invulnerable Rager Barbarian/Unbreakable Fighter 4. Salem: Level 4 Aasimar Instructor Wizard 5. Kalore "Doc" Red Tail: Level 4 Aasimar Blackened Life Oracle

Creating your character
Characters are created using a variety of first and third-party sources, as well as some additional features from Kirthfinder and Spheres of Power. Full details are available upon joining.
The campaign is currently at level six and session 28, with the group currently exploring the infamous Mouth of Doom.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
While you may begin to prepare your character as soon as you've read the player's guide, there will be ample time to workshop your character before your first session. You should not create your character until you have read this primer. You'll need a Discord, Roll20, and Forge account to participate fully and a Syrinscape account if you'd like ambient audio.
What Chris brings to the table
I have been GMing for 26 years and doing so professionally for three years, running forty hours of paid Pathfinder and Pathfinder 2e weekly. Over the years, I've amassed an exhaustive collection of official and 3PP content (I have four active Paizo subscriptions for PF2e content), and have collected a truly impressive collection of high-quality maps and tokens. In addition to being a professionally trained actor, I am also a professional writer, and I provide weekly session summaries of 1,000+ words. Multiple Nerdgasms boasts an active Discord community of 80+ members, five servers for FoundryVTT, a pro Syrinscape subscription for ambient audio, and much more.
