About the adventure

The Age of Worms looms over the Free City of Greyhawk, and the shadows are growing longer. You have already survived the horrors of Diamond Lake, shattered the Ebon Triad’s schemes in the Free City, thwarted a black dragon’s ambush at Blackwall Keep, slain the cunning mind flayer Zyrxog in the depths of the Sodden Hold, and triumphed in the brutal Champion’s Games — stopping a monstrous ritual beneath the arena that would have unleashed an ulgurstasta upon the city. But the prophecy is far from over. Having returned to Diamond Lake and braved the howling winds and ancient mysteries of the Whispering Cairn in search of the missing Allustan, you uncovered long-buried secrets of the Wind Duke Icosiol and the stirring power of the Rod of Law. Now those same clues have led the party far to the south — deep into the steaming, vine-choked jungles. There, half-swallowed by the jungle, lies a ruined city where an entire nation was sacrificed centuries ago. Towering above the worm-eaten stones and overgrown streets stands the Spire of Long Shadows itself — the very place where the Wormgod Kyuss first clawed his way toward divinity. Ancient horrors, legions of the hungry dead, and blasphemous secrets lie waiting within its lightless halls. The Age of Worms draws nearer with every shadow that lengthens across the jungle canopy. Creating your character

This campaign has dozens of custom classes, species, archtypes, backgrounds, feats, spells, etc. All of which are available on my Discord server for all players. We will discuss character creation options once you have signed up and had a chance to browse the discord a bit.

Preparing for the session

You will need the following: ✦ Fantasy Grounds Unity installed and operational. ✦ Discord, installed and ready to use for voice. ✦ Proper Quality Mic with headset. ✦ High Speed Internet Connection. I do not live stream or record any sessions without prior player consent.

Homebrew rules

Initiative: We reroll imitative every round of combat, this is handled directly by Fantasy Grounds. Morale: Creatures make morale checks when faced with overwhelming odds and might flee the battle. Delay Turn: When it is your turn in a round you can opt to act later in the round by declaring a lower initiative. Emanation Effects: Once per round damage is the maximum. Skill/Knowledge Checks: You must be proficient in a knowledge or tool to use it. Potions of Healing: Using an action to consume a Potion of Healing grants its user the maximum number of recovered hit points. If using a bonus action to consume the healing potion, roll for results. It is a bonus action to drink a potion but still requires a regular action to administer one to someone else. Flanking: When a creature and at least one of its allies are adjacent to an enemy and positioned on opposite sides or corners of the enemy's space, they flank that enemy. Attack rolls made by flankers against a flanked enemy have a +2 bonus. A creature does not grant flanking bonus if it is incapacitated, frightened, restrained, or grappled.
