About the adventure

Imagine a world where good has lost and evil prevailed. Imagine this awful existence as a regular person desperate to dream for more but knowing it is impossible. The world has ended and everything is wrong. You will play characters not bound by these facts. Starting as level one heroes in this horrible place, you will grab destiny prove that not all heroes must fall in this most forgotten of realms. As you explore the Doomed Underdark, you will find transformed and demon-tainted. With abyssal hazards, fiendish fungi, and new magic items, this unique campaign will be everything you could want if you can survive it. I hope you can. After all, somebody needs to save this world.. For those of you unfamiliar with how I run my games, here are some reviews that speak to the experience: +"Jacob is top notch. Not only is he inclusive and attentive, he's just fun! He's knowledgeable about the game, able to work with any range of player experience and is apparently capable of blending character backstories together in seamless fashions." +"Amazing person to be having as a Game master; Dependable, valuable, moves his schedule to everyone else's, makes things work as the players go along with their shenanigans. Jacob will shift his pre-planned reasons just to fit whatever your characters would do, and fit it in the story like you're casually putting butter on bread in the morning for breakfast!"

About me

Hello adventurers! My name's Jacob and I've been running TTRPGs for over a decade with three years of experience full time GM-ing. With a long background in theatre as well as a former designer of escape rooms, I bring a wealth of experience to every game I run. My focus is on making a fun and satisfying story regardless of player history with the game. No matter whether your characters are trekking through a mountain pass, exploring the furthest reaches of space or even attending a spooky summer camp, you should be experiencing a well crafted adventure you will never forget! I also bring an attentive eye to representation within the game space. As a former organizer and field director for numerous political campaigns, I have fought for this first hand and will not let it go unnoticed in my games. There is a wide spectrum of games I have played and run varying from DND (5e and 3.5), Pathfinder (1e and 2e), Doctor Who, Kids on Bikes, Honey Heist, Mutants and Masterminds, Call of Cthulhu, Wet Hot American Summer, Everything Is Dolphins, Fallout RPG and much, much more. I look forward to crafting unique gaming experiences in these wildly different worlds exclusively for you.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen as a part of Session Zero. I would highly recommend bringing a character concept or two but we will do it collectively to allow us to integrate personal and group backstory into the campaign proper.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The game will be done through Discord with the use of Owlbear.Rodeo and D&DBeyond. With that in mind, you will need a working internet connection. I would recommend a working microphone, headset and a computer. You may use your own dice or digital dice.

What Jacob Cordas brings to the table

I will bring a fully rendered version of this adventure, highlighting its dynamic epic scale and dramatic twist and turns.

Safety

How Jacob Cordas creates a safe table

This game will be a dark, grimy take on a classic setting using the fantastic adventures made by the Doomed Forgotten Realm team. With that in mind, this game will take safety extremely important so we can comfortable and securely roleplay all of the fantastic elements that make up a world where heroes have all lost. We will have a full Session Zero that will include the Monte Cook RPG Consent Checklist. From there, while we play, we will use a variant of X, N And O Cards called Yellow/Red Cards as well as an Open Door Policy and a regularly scheduled Break.
