About me
Greetings! My name is Dani, also known as Windstep ^_^. I was introduced to D&D 3.5 back in 2004, and I was intrigued by this hobby right away. In the recent 7 years I have decided to get back into GMing, and I did it every week, or even more often since then. I love facilitating this unique form of story telling which brings human connection and creativity together. As a Game Master I am at your side, but also fair. Decisions have consequences. Good ideas from the players, are taken always in consideration. I try to follow the rules as written as much as possible, with some degree of flexibility. I have run sandbox games with total player freedom, within limits of course ;), or more detailed stories with a narrative arc. I can prepare both homebrew adventures, pre-made ones, or a mix of the two. I run fantasy, or sci-fi as a main theme preference. My favourite RPG systems are Pathfinder 2nd edition (for fantasy) and revised Stars without Number (for sci-fi). Depending on the game and player preferences, I focus on a variety of exploration, combat or role-play. I am here to help you feel comfortable, as a group. Ask me questions. Provide me feedback, and I will try to accommodate you.

Creating your character
We will start at level 1 and will use the Pathbuilder2e.com website as a reference for characters later on, that will be created within Foundry VTT. We will be creating the characters together during session 0. The background options from the Campaign are strongly recommended. I will be sending to you the player's guide for this campaign. Uncommon character options must fit the theme of the adventure.
This is an ongoing campaign of Age of Ashes! Currently the group is level 15! We have played 4 Adventure books out of 6. You will be brought up to speed! Experienced Pathfinder 2e Players are recommended, as it can be overwhelming to start at a higher level with free archetype variant, especially if playing a more advanced class! Nevertheless if you feel confident in your ability to learn PF2e in a friendly and supportive environment, you are also welcome to participate! The group is very comfortable to play with, and this is a friendly environment with roleplay veterans. So if you want to play RPG games long term, I strongly recommend this group. Please Note: Sessions are recorded and held privately, as they are used for recap summaries and to allow players that are absent for a session to still follow the game. Game is happening every week.

Preparing for the session
-Have a decent microphone and internet connection. -Webcams are recommended, but not necessary. -Have Discord installed and a Discord account. What Windstep brings to the table

I will be guiding you, if you need assistance: whether it is about the character, the Pathfinder 2e rules, or Foundry VTT. I will be trying with voices, although sometimes spectacularly failing at it.

How Windstep creates a safe table
In this campaign there is a strong theme of fight against slavery and kidnappings. I will be sending to everyone the Monte Cook RPG consent form, where you can mention your triggers, or areas where there is a need of extra care and caution. The X cards will be digital within Foundry VTT. During session 0, we will be discussing about your character ideas, such as classes, ancestries and possible backgrounds. This way we can integrate your story better within the big narrative of the campaign. Additionally we will be thinking about how you came together as a team. Session 0 is important to set expectations about the game and I will be going over various topics. Free Archetype is allowed, if most want to have it. Please be aware that it adds complexity to the character, but it can be interesting to explore less optimal options, but more fun roleplay wise.
