The End Times | A 1990's Campaign of Paranormal Conspiracy

Delta Green, Call of Cthulhu | Campaign

About the adventure

Experience a curated series of uniquely horrifying operations derived from the best Delta Green and Call of Cthulhu has to offer! NOW PLAYING: "SEE NO EVIL" SOME TRUTHS ARE BURIED FOR A REASON. DIG TOO DEEP, AND YOU MAY NEVER CRAWL OUT. New York City, December 1997. Beneath the surface of the glittering lights and festive cheer, something dark stirs. An infamous far-right think tank prepares for its annual conference, attracting protestors, press, and law enforcement to the city. While the world sees it as just another political spectacle, Delta Green knows better. Something far more dangerous is at play, hidden beneath layers of rhetoric, shadowy alliances, and whispered conspiracies. It falls to your elite group of Delta Green operatives to uncover the truth. You'll navigate clandestine meetings, shadowy underworld connections, and a tangled web of dangerous players. As tensions rise and the snow begins to fall, the line between hunter and hunted blurs. Every step forward could bring you closer to the answers you seek—or into the clutches of those pulling the strings. Can you uncover the truth, you will you end up just another pawn on someone else's board? DELTA GREEN Deception is a right. Truth is a privilege. Innocence is a luxury. Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert government agency known as Delta Green opposes the forces of darkness with honor but without glory. Delta Green agents slip through the system, manipulating the federal bureaucracy while pushing the darkness back for another day - but often at a shattering personal cost. In DELTA GREEN, you are one of those agents. You fight to keep terrors from beyond space and time from infecting the world and claiming human lives and sanity. The day is swiftly approaching when, as Old Castro told Inspector Legrasse, “man-kind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside... the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the Earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom.” Welcome to the holocaust. Welcome to the end of humanity. Welcome to the End Times. Choose federal law enforcement. Choose the military. Choose NASA or the CDC. Choose lying to your superiors. Choose to ruin your career. Choose no friends. Choose divorce. Choose life through the bottom of a bottle. Choose destroying evidence and executing innocent people because they know too much. Choose black fatigues and matching gas masks. Choose an MP5 stolen from the CIA. Choose blazing away at mind numbing, sanity crushing things from beyond the stars, wondering whether you'd be better off stuffing the barrel in your own mouth. Choose going out with a bang, as an NRO Delta wetworks squad busts through your door. Choose one last Night at the Opera. Choose Delta Green.

Had an amazing time as a player in the Delta Green campaign "Ladybug" run by Trevor. In fact it was so fun that we've already signed up for another campaign. Trevor really strikes the right balance between respecting player agency and making sure the story progresses.

Holy cow, Trevor rules. First off, he took some time to help me create a character that would fit with his existing group. Secondly, he asked specific questions about what kind of story I was interested in. Trevor takes the time it takes to get a game running smoothly. Speaking of which, Trevor runs a tight and timely game. He is efficient, friendly, prepared, and above all, he is professional. Trevor allows for a variety of styles of play and seamlessly integrates new players (like me) into an existing group. He would go out of his way to make sure that everyone felt included and was participating. The music, sound effects, and visuals he puts together are wonderful and creepy. It's clear that Trevor loves what he does, and he does it well.

Trevor really brings his A-game to these gaming sessions: he's very articulate, very descriptive, and very enthusiastic about the adventure. It's clear that he puts his heart into prepping each gaming session. It was my first time playing Pulp Cthulhu (or any Cthulhu-type game for that matter). He was patient and kind and I felt like I was gaming with an old friend. Our game was voice-only and his reminded me of my favorite professor from college: cheerful, optimistic, smart and encouraging.

Trevor has been great! He was able to bring me up to speed on what was a new game system for me and integrated me in to an existing group. Also very masterful usage of the VTT, integrating fitting music and seamlessly moving between scenes. I feel he also balances the time between players well. I would definitely recommend Trevor as a GM

Additional details

How to prepare

You should have access to a computer with a stable internet connection and a working microphone. You will also need a free Roll20 account to access the Virtual Tabletop, and a free Discord account to access the Discord Server which will be used for voice and text chat. Basic knowledge of Delta Green's mechanics is helpful but not necessary - Delta Green has a rather simple rules system that is quite easy to learn. If you are already familiar with Call of Cthulhu, you will find Delta Green to be very similar and very easy to pick up.

What I provide

I will handle the virtual tabletop via Roll20, which includes Character Sheets, Multimedia Handouts, Soundtracks/Ambience, and a Automatic Dice-Roller. I will also provide a Discord Server to handle voice chat during session, as well as text chat to discuss the game in-between sessions. I will provide pdf access to the Delta Green Agent's Handbook that you'll need to start playing, although you are certainly welcome to support the publisher by purchasing your own copy of the book from Drive Thru RPG or via Arc Dream Publishing's website.

Gameplay details

Though this story is intended to be strange and frightening, some content may be triggering to some players. I will discuss with you over a FREE session zero to gauge how to best handle these moments, utilizing the Lines and Veils system when necessary. For this game, you should expect ample opportunities for in-character dialogue, investigation, and on occasion fast and sometimes deadly combat. Each session will have at least one ~5 minute break, although more can be taken if the need arises. After each session ends, I will set aside some time to check in, reflect, discuss, and listen to your feedback. My goal is to offer you a chance to voice your concerns to me in a safe and inclusive forum. You are also welcome to reach out to me privately with any feedback you might have.

How will character creation work

I will help you create your character during a FREE Session Zero. Your character might be a veteran agent of Delta Green, a new recruit on their first operation, or even a concerned citizen of the town caught in this web of conspiracy and unnatural horror! I will provide some pre-generated characters as well - you are welcome to use them as they are, customize them, or draw on them for inspiration in crafting your own character. During the Session Zero I will also take time to discuss your goals, expectations, and any sensitive content to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. I will also be happy to explain the rules to any new players, if need be. For players joining after the official Session Zero, I will schedule you a free 1 on 1 Session Zero to cover all the same content, and get you up to speed on everything that has happened so far.
