About the adventure

Experience a curated series of uniquely horrifying operations derived from the best Delta Green and Call of Cthulhu has to offer! NOW PLAYING: "DEAD LETTER" WHEN DEATH WON’T DIE A friendly in the U.S. Postal Inspection Service intercepts a package that leaks strange chemicals. A package that rustles. As if something inside is moving. The moment the inspector opens that package, it becomes a Delta Green op. Now your Agents are on the trail of innovations that push science into the black realms of the unnatural. On the lonely trails of a Montana reservation, a research company sees the promise of a cure for death itself. Unless your Agents turn away, they may face resurrections on a scale beyond conceiving. Evils more awful than any mere experiment. A monstrous threat that hungers for revenge on Delta Green itself. Set in the late 1990s, “Dead Letter” is a potentially catastrophic scenario for Delta Green: The Role-Playing Game. It forces the Agents to ask whether any evil ever truly ends. DELTA GREEN Deception is a right. Truth is a privilege. Innocence is a luxury. Born of the U.S. government’s 1928 raid on the degenerate coastal town of Innsmouth, Massachusetts, the covert government agency known as Delta Green opposes the forces of darkness with honor but without glory. Delta Green agents slip through the system, manipulating the federal bureaucracy while pushing the darkness back for another day - but often at a shattering personal cost. In DELTA GREEN, you are one of those agents. You fight to keep terrors from beyond space and time from infecting the world and claiming human lives and sanity. The day is swiftly approaching when, as Old Castro told Inspector Legrasse, “man-kind would have become as the Great Old Ones; free and wild and beyond good and evil, with laws and morals thrown aside... the liberated Old Ones would teach them new ways to shout and kill and revel and enjoy themselves, and all the Earth would flame with a holocaust of ecstasy and freedom.” Welcome to the holocaust. Welcome to the end of humanity. Welcome to the End Times. Choose federal law enforcement. Choose the military. Choose NASA or the CDC. Choose lying to your superiors. Choose to ruin your career. Choose no friends. Choose divorce. Choose life through the bottom of a bottle. Choose destroying evidence and executing innocent people because they know too much. Choose black fatigues and matching gas masks. Choose an MP5 stolen from the CIA. Choose blazing away at mind numbing, sanity crushing things from beyond the stars, wondering whether you'd be better off stuffing the barrel in your own mouth. Choose going out with a bang, as an NRO Delta wetworks squad busts through your door. Choose one last Night at the Opera. Choose Delta Green.

About me

My first fateful experience with TTRPGS began in high school, when a friend showed me his copy of Dungeons & Dragons: 3.5 Edition. In that moment - reading through those fantastical pages - I had found the perfect creative outlet that combined my passions for writing, theater, improv, and fantasy. I started the hobby as a player, but I quickly transitioned and embraced my new role as the forever DM. What started over a decade ago with a small group of high school friends playing D&D blossomed into new games, new campaigns, new worlds, and new friends from all over the world. I've had the pleasure of running both official content and worlds of my own design, with countless vibrant settings, complex casts of voiced acted NPCs, and rich, personalized narratives designed around the most important people in any TTRPG - your player character! I take great pride in utilizing my skills to breathe life into a collaborative world where you can take center stage. A world full of intricate characters you care about, where your choices can change their fate as well as the world around you. If you crave a roleplay focused environment with a committed GM who takes the time to interweave your character into a living, breathing world full of interesting characters - come take a seat at my virtual table. I have a wealth of experience running games for players from a variety of backgrounds and skill levels. My games are a safe space where all players (including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and Neurodivergent players) are welcome. I love introducing and teaching new players, so if you are new to a particular game, or even to online tabletop role playing games in general - let me be your guide and give one of my games a try!

Character creation

Creating your character

I will help you create your character during a FREE Session Zero. Your character might be a veteran agent of Delta Green, a new recruit on their first operation, or even a concerned citizen caught in this web of conspiracy and unnatural horror! I will provide some pre-generated characters as well - you are welcome to use them as they are, customize them, or draw on them for inspiration in crafting your own character. During the Session Zero I will also take time to discuss your goals, expectations, and any sensitive content to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. I will also be happy to explain the rules to any new players, if need be. For players joining after the official Session Zero, I will schedule you a free 1 on 1 Session Zero to cover all the same content, and get you up to speed on everything that has happened so far.

The current party

Our current roster of Agents includes: - FRANKIE: FBI IOSS, Criminal Profiler - NEWMAN: United States Postal Inspector - FUZZ: Private Military Contractor - TAO: US Marines FORECON Special Operator - FELIX: USAMRIID Infectious Disease Officer

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You should have access to a computer with a stable internet connection and a working microphone. You will also need a free Roll20 account to access the Virtual Tabletop, and a free Discord account to access the Discord Server which will be used for voice and text chat. Basic knowledge of Delta Green's mechanics is helpful but not necessary - Delta Green has a rather simple rules system that is quite easy to learn. If you are already familiar with Call of Cthulhu, you will find Delta Green to be very similar and very easy to pick up.

What Trevor brings to the table

I will handle the virtual tabletop via Roll20, which includes Character Sheets, Multimedia Handouts, Soundtracks/Ambience, and a Automatic Dice-Roller. I will also provide a Discord Server to handle voice chat during session, as well as text chat to discuss the game in-between sessions. I will provide pdf access to the Delta Green Agent's Handbook that you'll need to start playing, although you are certainly welcome to support the publisher by purchasing your own copy of the book from Drive Thru RPG or via Arc Dream Publishing's website.

Safety

How Trevor creates a safe table

Though this story is intended to be strange and frightening, some content may be triggering to some players. I will discuss with you over a FREE session zero to gauge how to best handle these moments, utilizing the Lines and Veils system when necessary. For this game, you should expect ample opportunities for in-character dialogue, investigation, and on occasion fast and sometimes deadly combat. Each session will have at least one 5-10 minute break, although more can be taken if the need arises. After each session ends, I will set aside some time to check in, reflect, discuss, and listen to your feedback. My goal is to offer you a chance to voice your concerns to me in a safe and inclusive forum. You are also welcome to reach out to me privately with any feedback you might have.
