About the adventure
ATTENTION THRILL SEEKERS!! Your group of adventurers find themselves traveling down the beaten path as a mysterious fog surrounds you and whisks you away to the Kingdom of Barovia. You find yourself trapped with the only way out being to journey further into the unknown. The worst part; Vampires, the Undead, Magical Beasts, and the Soulless are all trapped in there with you! Figure out the mysteries of Strahd Von Zarovich, his fallen Kingdom of Barovia, and discover how to escape with your lives. You will soon realize why the Morninglord and Mother Night have abandoned this land. This campaign is for those that are seeking a constant level of tension, fear, and mystery. As you stumble your way through Strahd's domain trying to figure out the many puzzles and mysteries laid before you, you will have to battle hoards of Strahd's minions. This is a 5e collection of highly agreed revamps to everyone's favorite DnD Campaign Curse of Strahd! The theme is Fantasy/Medieval Gothic with a consistent overtone of horror, leaving you holding your breath at every corner, never knowing who you can trust, and constantly making you rethink your moral decisions. I'm a pretty neutral GM that likes to keep the game well balanced, rounded, and fair. I'm here for you to have fun and I love a solid healthy mix of Roleplaying, Combat, and Mystery/Puzzle solving. I love voicing complex, unique, and diverse characters while bringing surroundings and themes to life as I narrate your path through this amazing campaign!

Meet the Game Master
About me
I'm a friendly, easy going, and fun full time professional Game Master that loves voice acting and story writing. My passion for DnD has led me to be an Adventurer for 12 years and Dungeon Master for 7. I've run Homebrew and Official Campaign modules for years with my favorite part of TTRPGs being the community I get to play with and run campaigns for. I'd love to get you meet you and run a fun, vast, and immersive campaign together! My campaigns tend to be more intense, serious, gritty, and horror themed so if that sounds great to you, I would love to have you join in on my community!

Creating your character
You can bring a pre-created character of any off OFFICIAL DnD 5e ruling (although I ban the Flying trait/feat as it breaks the immersion of the campaign and can ruin it for everyone) or we can build a character together during session 0. I have helped make over 100 characters so I am more than happy to help you find what you will enjoy the most!
The current Party consists of an Artificer, a Bard, a Cleric, and a Fighter. The Party is currently Level 10 and are finding their Fortunes in Barovia to gain enough power to kill Strahd. Session will be held every Sunday at 1am PST/4am EST/8am GMT +1. Sessions will run 3-4 hours. We will use Discord for voice chat and Roll20 as the VTT for the Campaign.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Bring your A-game and your best attitude! This is considered a hard campaign to beat so you will need all your wits about you. Webcams (optional) and Mics help create a more fun and immersive atmosphere, I only request you must have a working mic (Webcam is optional if the entire group wants to use them). I have a large majority of DnD 5e ruling memorized and the compendium next to me at all times so if you need help with anything at any time, Im always able to help. Players will create their characters together during session 0 to create a strong group dynamic and immersive character goals/plots. I use Roll20 and Discord as my methods for Roleplaying so if you can make an account on both platforms (both are completely free!) it would be greatly appreciated! Roll20 has its own dice rolling system that is shown to the party but if you enjoy rolling your own dice I will use the honor system and expect you to play fair. Cheating only hurts you by breaking your immersion and making it a less surreal and fun experience! I would like the Link to your DnDBeyond sheet or a screenshot of your stats so I can take them into consideration when balancing the game.
What Coach OBubby brings to the table
I have a long history with photoshop and can make content to help players feel immersed and included. I have made art or tokens of players characters before when I have completed an entire campaign and would be happy to do so if the players are able to complete the campaign they are on! I have the Roll20 Subscription and map pack for campaigns that have full handouts, art, tokens, and maps for exploring and combat! All you need to do is join the lobby and its all there for your enjoyment!
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion is an Action or Bonus Actions; giving it to someone else is still an Action. Anyone can use spell scrolls. Death Saves become more difficult each time you get downed but instant death has been removed.

How Coach OBubby creates a safe table
Content Warning: Horror, Gore, Violence, Drugs, Language, and Sexual content Safety Tools will be: 1. ZERO tolerance policy for player on player combat/attacks. The majority of players do not enjoy being attacked or betrayed by their teammates and it can instantly ruin entire campaigns. I have experienced this too many times. If you want to be a Chaotic Evil Rogue that steals everything and kills everything, then steal everything and kill everyone that ISN'T in your party please. Thank you 2. Session 0 to make sure everyone is happy and content with playing the campaign as intended with its original story and that players are feeling happy and welcomed with the groups atmosphere. 3. Breaks as needed, especially if for medical reasons. I can run sessions pretty long without getting tired BUT I understand not everyone can do that. If you need food, drinks, bathroom breaks, or to go for a walk please feel free and open to communicate that with me and the group. No one will be judged for needing a moment to themselves especially after a tough or difficult situation in the game. I can tend to bring characters and NPCs to life and some people find themselves needing a small break if one of them dies. 4. Open Door Policy. Basically as stated above. 5. Post-Game Debriefing. I love running sessions and making everyone feel as welcomed and happy as possible but sometimes things go unnoticed. When there is a break or the session is over, I am always happy and willing to talk with the party about the contents of the session in any manner. I do plead that you keep it positive and no one fights. If you enjoyed something and want more of it, if you felt like there wasn't enough of something, or you feel overlooked; please let me know! I want everyone to have the most fun possible!
