About the adventure
On the world of Gaia exists a continent filled with a mysterious mist. No one knows when, how, or why this mist came to be, but they do know dangerous creatures dwell within. Human (and variant) nations have learned to build their realms above the mist line. Alexandria, Lindblum, and Treno now stand tall behind their walled city-states and travel between themselves via mist-powered airships. Not all of the denizens of the continent choose the path to settle above the dangerous mist. The proud Kingdom of Burmecia, populated by a tall lean race of rat-like humanoids, regularly face the perils that hide within the mist with their legendary dragon knights. The Burmecian's peace loving cousins in the nearby Cleyra and a tribe of frog obsessed druids that love to cook known as the Qu also make their homes within the mist despite the ever present danger. Join us for an adventure filled with knights, mages, chocobos, moogles, eidolons, crystals, airships, monsters and a princess brimming with powerful latent magic. The Mist Continent is full of possibilities. Amass piles of gil as you work your way to becoming a legend in the Mist Stalkers bounty hunter's guild. Join Tantalus and steal hearts on stage or rare model airships from the most guarded vaults in the world. Become a member of the Gaia Adventure's Guild and find wild treasures as you seek the secrets within chocograph maps, eradicate dangerous monster nests, or gather magic materials so the local synthesis shops can forge greatness. Seek out a life as a Tetra Master (card game) superstar and win fantastical prizes by winning tournaments. Aid the moogles as they do their best to deliver letters all over the continent while keeping up with the famous Stiltzkin as he travels all over. Assist wandering Qu along their pilgrimage as the find, cook, and eat (or don't) all variety of creatures that call the mists home. Influence worldwide politics by aligning with a nation and attempt to instigate or prevent war. It all starts by collecting your ticket and taking an airship to the city of Alexandria to attend the play "I Want to Be Your Canary". --------------------------------------- The Mist Continent --------------------------------------- This campaign is heavily inspired by Final Fantasy IX and takes place in its world. Several homebrew races inspired by this world are available, races will be restricted to homebrew races designed for the campaign and a handful of others. This is a full fledged campaign with over 20 unique dungeon maps created for this world. Having played FFIX before is not a requirement. There is a significant amount of open world optional content on top of a story driven world impacting intense campaign. Campaign will start at level 3 and max out at level 12.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! Tideweaver is my gaming moniker but I also go by my name Robert. I have been playing TTRPGs and RPGs in general since my first Playstation back in 1998. I started with titles from the Final Fantasy franchise (9, 8, 7, tactics), Age of Empires (I, II Age of Kings, II Age of Conquerors), and of course Pokemon/Digimon. I then grew into titles like Disgaea franchise, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy 10-15, card battle games (Magic, Yugioh, Pokemon), Skyrim, Kingdoms of Amalaur, Dragon's Dogma. I have always been a fan of high fantasy in general and some of my favorite series include the Obsidian Triology by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory, the Inheritence Cycle by Christopher Paolini, and of course Harry Potter. As of late I have been really interested in LITRPG as a whole. To this day my favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy IX, though its very heavily influenced by my personal nostalgia. I have been actively playing Dungeons and Dragons for the past 5 years and am now interested in running specific campaigns that I enjoy. They key (in my opinion) to running a good campaign is being excited and passionate about the content of the campaign and passing that on into the world for the players. I am an aspiring author, active player of Final Fantasy XIV, and work full time.

Creating your character
Characters will start at level 3 and max at level 12. Character creation will occur during session 0. Individual or pair/group session 0's prior to designated campaign times will be utilized to ensure all players are set up and have at least a basic understanding of the three tools we will be using (Roll20, D&DBeyond, and Discord). These sessions will also be utilized to ask questions regarding the homebrew races.
Every Saturday from 10AM-1PM CST
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need to make accounts for the following applications: Discord, D&DBeyond, and Roll20. All of these have free account access. A mic will be required for Discord. A camera is encouraged but not required. Google Chrome is strongly recommended for the Beyond20 extension for ease of dice rolls. Session 0 will be utilized with players via discord to assist in building character sheets and joining the campaign in Roll20. New players welcome!
What Tideweaver brings to the table
I bring a fully crafted homebrew campaign with over 20 custom dungeon maps designed specifically for this campaign. I also bring most source materials on D&DBeyond for an extensive list of feats, items, classes, and backgrounds available. So long as it is available in the material I share in D&DBeyond, it will be available in game (with the exception of races as there will be a restrictive pool for this campaign). I have also created extensive homebrewed optional side content that could be roleplay heavy, puzzle heavy, or combat intensive depending on what the players wish to pursue.

How Tideweaver creates a safe table
Gameplay will involve Discord Voice Chat, Roll20 VTT (Virtual Table Top), and Character Sheets on D&DBeyond with Beyond20 for ease of dice rolls. Session 0 will be done individually (or in pairs/groups as requested) going over character builds and ensuring the accessibility and use of Roll20, D&D Beyond Character Sheet, Beyond20 extension (for ease of rolls) and Discord usage. All of these have free account access and would be required for each player to maintain consistency.
