Tales of Panshara
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
It’s been fifty-three days since we set forth to a new world. We’ve traveled what the Magi called The Path of Stone, yet there is nothing but the vastness of darkness sprinkled with soft blinking lights in the distance. Once we arrive, if we ever do, I will oversee the scouts as they venture into whatever land we find. It is a task I took reluctantly, but an impartial soul must stand against political agendas. I’ve initially organized the guild to operate directly on our Golden Aramada as we find ground to establish a foothold in whatever land we reach. We must procure resources to build housing and a city to call our own. We are only fifth thousand souls that escapade The Devourer of Worlds. I worry about some of the intentions of some of the surviving leaders. We are not here to take what is not ours but to claim what has been unclaimed. Untouched land, build our own space without harming those that already live here. Monsters, and other demons, will be put to the blade if needed, but we will not head into war with established civilizations. I have secured our independence from the proposed Senate of Nations, operating in the interest of our city, not of any Senate or independent party. ~ Exerts of Kashandra Dumali’s journal on what awaits the Scouting Guild. ~ Join us on an adventure where we plot out an undiscovered land where mysteries abound. The previous civilizations have vanished and left ruins of great temples, cities, and other locations. It is up to the Guild of Scouts to find land for your brethren to set a foothold and have a chance to survive. Supplies have dwindled, but hope rises as we begin our journey with the first visage of land after fifty-four days of travel between worlds. Do you have the courage to lead the exploration of a forsaken land while dealing with old political conflicts that have sadly carried over from the ancient world to the new one? Some important tidbits: - Voice acting for NPCs - Immersive soundtrack - Good mix between battles and roleplay, both are so important to the experience! - Saftey tools are a must to make sure everyone is having a good (and safe!) time - Main books in DnDBeyond plus a wide assortment of additional books for you to choose your character from!
Level 1 - 20 campaign. City Building elements are an additional component in our game. The world map is updated weekly with discoveries of the new land.

Joe is a wonderful DM. They weave an excellent and intricate story and make it a truly rewarding experience for players to engage with the deeper aspects, whilst still keeping a table that can have fun casual and humane moments. You can see a very clear intent in how Joe weaves the characters into the world they're building. They do an excellent job with both new and old players, and use their VTT excellently to aid in illustrating the narrative they are building. For more experienced players, they do an excellent job of negotiating around the rule of cool, whilst making sure to give the same opportunity to newer TTRPG players to explore and flex into the space. I cannot recommend enough spending a session with Joe, and the sort of players he attracts - creative, kind, and collaborative - which I think speaks volumes about the thoughtful and welcoming environment he cultivates at his table
Joe is a great DM that makes a player feel welcome and be able to ask questions that some may deem "silly". Joe makes a fun environment in his games and has a great balance of combat and roleplay. He has also allowed my parties to make some game-breaking, and brain-breaking, choices in our campaigns and we appreciate him greatly for it lol. As a new player I am very thankful that Joe is the first DM I had the pleasure of meeting, I felt very comfortable asking questions and learning the different rules. I hope every player gets to play in one of Joe's campaigns, even if it's just one, so they know why everyone loves his games so much!
Joe is a fantastic DM. He's great at imparting that sense of verisimilitude - making you feel like you're really there, as your character. There aren't many DMs on SPG that have the hutzpah to run their own homebrew creations, but Joe pulls it off, running adventures that can go toe to toe with the best the pros print. Also, he's pretty good with Foundry VTT, which is the best VTT in my opinion, and his voice game is highly entertaining. Bottom line: Joe's games get you pumped.
Joe is a superb DM who takes his craft very seriously. I've been lucky enough to participate in his games for the last while and you can see the love and attention he puts in to crafting a narrative that engages players. His technical setup is amazing letting players get immersed in the environment through music, voices and amazing art. He is a very jovial and engaging individual and that carry's over into the game with many of our sessions spent laughing about some crazy event. I would recommend Joe to any player who wants an engaging and entertaining campaign!

Gameplay details
♠️ A healthy mix of combat and roleplaying. ♠️ Critical Hits Critical hits cause the damage on the dice to be doubled instead of rolling extra dice ♠️ Critical Failures and Critical Successes If a roll results in a natural 1, it is considered a failure. On the other hand, if the roll is a natural 20, it is always a success. ♠️ Potions Drinking a potion is a bonus action ♠️ Group checks Some checks will require everyone in the group to make a check. The more success, the better the pass.
