About the adventure
Twenty years following a nearly century-long war known as The Great Conflict, Levomia is a world of tangible magic, surging technology, intrigue, and bureaucratic tension. As national leaders vie for influence both within and beyond their borders, ancient curses and dark forces menace the conflict-addled land, threatening the uneasy peace of it's 11 major nations. With the advent of magical aerial vehicles known as AulaNavs, as well as the introduction of rail-guided locomotives called AulaVects, the distance between lands is shrinking with each passing day, as journeys that once took many moons to complete can now be made in a matter of hours. Levomia is a world where the simplicity of technology joins in union with the everlasting beauty of the old. Guardsmen in plate armor hold lever-action rifles at the ready, defending the occupants of fortresses that have stood for millennia. Atop the peaks of mountains formed from shards of stone which fell from the heavens, dragons scheme in hidden lairs whilst would-be fortune hunters blast open mines with dynamite downrange. Humanoid machines of war seek to find their place within the borders of nations that once held their reigns, their construct forms granted freedom during the final days of The Great Conflict. Celestials and Devils given corporeal form wander the lands freely, carrying no memory of their lives before crawling from the ashes of battle-scarred lands. Above all else, Levomia is a world of possibility teetering on the precipice of it's future; one where it may become a shining beacon of prosperity, or a smoldering ruin mourning what might have been. Amidst the turmoil, would-be heroes rise to the call every day, and still more meet an early grave. Upon Levomia, who will you become? Adventures in Levomia is a long-form campaign for 4-6 players, created with an emphasis on player agency & choice. By working with the Game Master (me!) & your fellow players, it's my goal to develop a unique, customized experience for each table. Rather than presenting pre-written adventures or official modules, I work to weave in the desires of the player - as well as their character backstories - to craft a wholly original experience each & every time. My games are very narrative-focused, with a heavy emphasis on roleplay interaction. If you're looking for somewhere to flex your amateur theater muscles, this might be the game for you! As far as safety tools are concerned, I use Lines & Veils, the X-Card, and Aftercare. Additionally, I pride myself in ensuring my tables are a Safe Space, with a zero-tolerance policy for hate speech & bullying. It's my highest priority to ensure that every player feels comfortable & is enjoying themselves; my proverbial door is always open in order to ensure that any concerns are addressed quickly and professionally. If this sounds like something you've been looking for, I look forward to seeing you at the table soon!

About me
FORWARD: The space that I create is explicitly LGBTQIA+ inclusive, Neurodivergent inclusive, and BIPOC inclusive. Trans Women are Women. Black Lives Matter. If you have a disability that I can reasonably provide for (ex. Text Transcription, Photosensitivity, Assistance with VTT Operation), let me know! I'm happy to help as best I can. ------------------------------------------------------- A Sincere and Heartfelt Welcome to All Travelers, Journey Makers, Adventurers, Explorers, Sellswords, Privateers and Heroes! Mayhaps you find yourself amongst others of your ilk in search of fortune and glory? Fear not, for I have here upon my board of quests a multitude upon which to embark! Do you possess any lingering reticence when it comes to the matter of coin needed to secure exclusivity on this lead? Aye, I cannot say I'm surprised - we have all marched across the Borderlands, and many more have delved into the Citadel of Sunless depths.... You needn't fear, however, for I can assure you that this particular journey is unlike one you have ever embarked upon before. In fact, I can further guarantee you that no souls aside from you or your company shall embark upon a journey such as this again! Perhaps you are still not convinced? Leery of yet another den of raucous kobolds in need of a good thwacking? Of this concern you may once again rest easy. I have been in the business of Quest Giver for quite some time, after all, and I can spot a seasoned explorer when I see them. No, no - this will be no run-of-the-mill crawl through alarmingly straight tunnels; no grunt's work fully focused on blade and spell! What I have here are proper journeys! The sorts that build lasting bonds and introduce opportunity to form meaningful relationships with your companions. Oh, there will no doubt be plenty of dangerous creatures and villainous folk who wish nothing more than to see your essence cut from the mortal coil...however, a handful of fights does not an adventure make, aye? For each time you will be called upon to draw your blade, load your rifle, or weave together mystic threads, there will be many more wherein you will discover sights not yet seen, negotiate with individuals of questionable motive, and engage in both playful banter and meaningful discussion with companions and strangers alike. So, have I taken your measure correctly, traveler? Is this the sort of quest you seek? If so, you have most assuredly found yourself at the right place... Hello there! My name is Rob. Pleasure to meet you! Are you looking for somewhere to enjoy the more theatrical elements of TTRPGs? Perhaps your an amateur thespian, or a curious newcomer who is much more thrilled by story than statblocks? Maybe you've seen a few episodes (or a few seasons) of an Actual Play, and would love nothing more than to see that level of deep, rich character development take place at a table where you have a seat? It could even be that you're an older player who - much like myself roughly a decade ago - have come to appreciate the one element that separates TTRPGs from Video Games and Board Games.... The Roleplay. If any of the above sound like you, than I believe you would be a fantastic fit for my table! When it comes to TTRPGs, my goal is to provide an immersive, rich, and truly deep gameplay experience - one in which character bonds are tested, relationships are formed, and your adventurer is just as much shaped by their pasts as they are by their experience during play. I take special care to give the player characters ample opportunity to just exist with one another - journeys take time, and it's only during the quietude - absent the clashing of steel - where the voices we choose to embody during these games truly reveal themselves. Make no mistake - there will be plenty of challenging, interesting combats with unique monsters and villains! However, there will also be a great many moments wherein the characters are simply settled down for their evening meal at a campfire, nestled into a barstool at the tavern, or enjoying the creature comforts of a warm bath and a soft bed. If you are looking for a quick-and-dirty dungeon-crawl, suffice it to say - this table is likely not the one you're looking for. However, if what you seek is a rich, character-driven story; one that has not been told yet, and will never be told again; one where we truly learn who the main cast of our tale is beyond their combat abilities; one where your Gamemaster is there to help tell a story rather than having a story they want to tell... Your seat is waiting for you! ----------------------------------------------------- ON CONSENT IN GAMING: With a dedicated focus to the emotionally and mentally moving elements of these games, I also place a high level of importance on inclusivity, fostering a welcoming environment, and providing a safe space for all whom honor me with their presence at my table. More than simply valuing it - I take a great deal of pride in ensuring that this is maintained, and will always be willing to fight for the rights of my players when it comes to feeling truly accepted and welcomed both at their individual table, and within my community at large. In order to further ensure that the community I foster is one of mutual respect, I make use of the Consent Checklist by Monte Cook Games, and the X-Card system for issues that might arise that weren't considered during onboarding. At the end of the day, your safety and your continued enjoyment of the game are what I value most.

Creating your character
At campaign introduction, characters will be created at Level 3. For anyone joining a game in progress, characters will be created at the same level as the rest of the party. Digital Character Sheets will be filled out and presented to the DM, who will ensure that the character's abilities and stats are properly uploaded into the VTT. 3rd Party Classes are welcome, so long as they are green-lit by the GM. For a short list, here are some Trusted Creators in the community that provide good examples of the level of quality expected from a 3rd-Party Resource: Ross Leiser Taron "Indestructoboy" Pounds heavyarms Benjamin "Sterling Vermin" Huffman KibblesTasty Kobold Press Mage Hand Press Matt Mercer MCDM Stats will be determined either using the RaW Point Buy system, or the Standard Array. Hit points after Level 1 use the Class Average (the number in parentheses in the "Hit Points at Higher Levels" section). Character starting equipment uses the classes' listed starting equipment, with one major exception: This campaign includes firearms as part of the setting, making use of Arcane Artillery: The Gun Nut's Guide (freely available online, and provided upon joining the campaign). When creating your character, you are free to replace any Ranged Weapon with a Firearm of your choice from this 3rd party book, so long as it meets the following requirements: -Your class is proficient with your choice of firearm (Core Class Proficiencies are on page 8 of Arcane Artillery; 3rd party classes will be discussed with and decided by the GM.) -The firearm does not have the Automatic, Burst Fire, Heavy, or Bulky property
To set proper expectations, this will be a High-RP game. I put a lot of narrative focus into character downtime, building of interpersonal relationships between characters, and giving them a chance to really express themselves and develop into complex, believable beings; not just Combat Stat Blocks. Things to Expect Going In: -There may be extended periods of time where your PC is out of the spotlight. 20-30 minutes in some cases. Rest assured, you and your character will be given the chance to shine and receive an equal amount of total "Screen Time" as the other PCs, but you will definitely have the most fun if you can invest not only in your PC, but in the PCs of the other players at the table, as well. -Expect to spend time in-session roleplaying the quieter moments with your character; the return trip from the adventure, resting around the campfire, enjoying dinner with your companions, recovering from incurred injuries, and negotiating your next course of action with both your party and any appropriate NPCs. -Rest assured, there will be plenty of combat! However, my style of writing means that sometimes the combat can take a bit to actually get to. Generally, you should expect about 4-6 sessions of heavy Roleplay, followed by 3-5 sessions of heavy Combat.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A mic and a discord account is required, as I use discord for voice chat. A basic understanding of the rules of D&D 5th Edition is appreciated, but not required. I run my games through a personal server hosting FoundryVTT, so no program install or account creation is required to play.
What RMDM brings to the table
I provide documentation within the discord server for setting information. In game, I provide battlemaps, music, sound effects, and combat animation to present an engaging and immersive experience. I also bring over a decade of GM experience, running at least one game per week almost every week.

How RMDM creates a safe table
Players can expect a game with a strong focus on roleplay and narrative. Story will be favored over Rules as Written, and it's well within the realm of possibility that entire sessions might pass without a single combat encounter. Traditionally, I balance my games about 60/40 roleplay-focused sessions and combat-focused sessions. I run a High-RP, highly-detailed, narrative game. I use a lot of tools in my game that create emergent narratives (Downtime Rules, Overland Travel Rules, Interludes, Injuries), and absolutely live for the engrossing, emotional narrative and roleplay moments. I love seeing characters grow, and watching interpersonal conflict and interpersonal relationships develop - both between the PCs, as well as the NPCs. To set expectations properly, there will definitely be High Combat periods, and High Roleplay periods. You can expect to spend 3-5 sessions of IRL game time delving a dungeon, and then afterwards spend 4-6 sessions roleplaying the return trip, the party celebration, moments of respite, recovery from injuries inflicted during the dungeon crawl, etc. I would describe my style as very "Miyazaki-esque"; as a reference Hayao Miyazaki's insistance that food and life scenes are drawn lovingly as to accentuate the beauty of the day-to-day. I love to spend time focusing in on the quiet moments - the moments of rest and contemplation for the party - as to give the characters plenty of opportunities to talk and develop and express themselves; not just as combat statblocks, but as living, breathing people. Common elements within a game may include: - Violence - Blood and Gore - Use of Fantasy Drugs & Alcohol - Strong Language With that said, this campaign makes use of the Lines & Veils system, allowing the group to exclude the inclusion of content they're not comfortable with.
