About the adventure
It isn't just the icy winter that is cruel to the settlement of Bremen, something has been lurking and striking the townsfolk. Whatever livestock was left has been stolen from them, only small clues left behind from the creature who has taken from the locals - scratch marks in a fence post, small tufts of fur, blood from the livestock. The locals have begged for help from the mayor, who has set a bounty for the capture and removal of said creature. The taverns within Bremen have posted these bounty posters, and this is where you come in. You are compelled to help these people, as no one should go through this tough winter, let alone deal with some creature terrorizing the townsfolk. **This is a Learn to Play session, meant for beginner players. If you have decent experience with D&D, this may not be suitable for you! If this is your first time playing in many years and want to re-learn the game, that experience is also welcome!!**

About me
More than anything, I love to create a story with friends. Whether we're pirates, survivors, adventurers, or some other trope, I want to collaborate on an experience like no other.

Creating your character
Please have characters created beforehand using DNDBeyond. I will send out a video on how to build your character sheets, but am happy to clarify anything over message. When you create a character in DNDBeyond, there will be a check box option that says "Show Help Text" meant for beginners, click that and it should guide you! Please use "Standard Array" when building your character. Pre-made characters are also an encouraged option!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
At a minimum, a working microphone and mostly quiet space will be needed to prepare. Video is optional! Create DNDBeyond and Discord accounts (all free to do so) if you do not have those yet already, as we will be using these during the session.
What Kiwi brings to the table
A private Discord server in addition to using Owlbear Rodeo, where we will have maps for setting the scene (it is web based, and super fast, great for any laptop/desktop). I value theatre of the mind as well, where I will verbally describe the scene and leave it up to the imagination!

How Kiwi creates a safe table
Adventurers should find that we will be using DNDBeyond, Owlbear Rodeo, and Discord (for voice/video if desired). I have designated a bit of time in the timeslot to go over how character sheets work, but I will also send a short YouTube video on how to read your character sheets and build your character. Pre-made characters will also be available if you do not wish to create your own! We will go over most of the basics of play, including roleplay, puzzle-solving, and combat. We've all been first-time players, so if there are any questions you want answered prior to play, feel free to drop them to me! I will be sending out a video to go over your lines and veils, which include brief explanations of what TTRPG safety tools are and the benefit of using them.
