About the adventure
A mutual acquaintance has requested your presence from his death bed. Rupert Merriweather wrote to each of you speaking of a mistake made in his youth that lead to the unleashing of an unspeakable horror. He pleads with you all to travel to a farmhouse located in Ross' Crossing to complete what he could not, to finish a ritual that would banish the abomination and save his soul. Setting: 1920s, Massachusetts System: Call of Cthulhu, 7th Edition Pre-generated characters will be provided. TW: occultism, body horror, rituals/magic

This philosophy and his works has inspired countless scenarios that bring investigators to the realm of the Elder Gods, pushing them to the brink of insanity and beyond.

How to prepare
-Roll20 Account (free) -Discord Account (free) -Mic/Webcam (video is not necessary, but preferred) There are lots of videos available re: rules of Call of Cthulhu, but we will go over how to play before we begin.

Gameplay details
Trigger Warnings are mentioned in the description. If you need further details, please message directly. Things have been left somewhat vague as to not giveaway the mystery of the scenario. Experience: None required. All you really need is an interest in wanting to play/learn the system and a curiosity to the genre (horror/mystery). We will go over the rules of the system at the beginning of the session. Roleplay: Strongly encouraged. The heart of Call of Cthulhu is the interactions between the characters involved. Oftentimes, it is about working together to solve a problem and survive the night. Riddles: At the core, this scenario involves uncovering the mystery as it is revealed. Combat: Minimal, there are possible outcomes that could lead to physical altercations, but CoC rarely involves them.
