About the adventure
Long ago, before Arserial came to be, two ancient and powerful entities fought across the cosmos. Their names lost through time, however, they commonly referred to as the Elder Primordial and the Prime Deity. It is believed the universe was shaped from their timeless conflict and ultimately ended with their mutual destruction. From their deaths the universe grew silent and still. All that remained were fragments of raw creation left by the Elder Primordial and the lingering divine magics of the Prime Deity. As the universe experienced absolute silence for the first time since its inception, fragments of both entities began to fuse together to create something new. Something that would change the course of all existence forever as from their remains the first Gods were born. They saw the destruction the divine conflict and made a steadfast vow to be different... to be better. They took the remaining fragments and combined them into one, singular formation and endowed it with life. The first Deity to emerge was Eloda "The Earth Mother", who saw the universe unfinished and lacking. She was followed shortly by her twin sister and counterpart; Illystera "She Who Waits". One brought life and the other death. Two sides of the same coin forever dependent on one another. Third came Aladon "The All Knowing" who brought magic and knowledge, providing endless potential to this untamed universe. Together they were known as the Preeminent Three who shaped the known world. Thus, they gave their creation a name… Arserial. As the Preeminent Three reveled in their new world, they quickly discovered others like themselves seeking to emerge from the crust of creation. Olfarious “The Morningtide” came forth, bringing light into the world for the first time. From the very depths came Golgrym “The Ever Flame”, whose passions burned with unparalleled convictions. Then there was Dram "The Faceless One", who arrived more or less unannounced and unbound. Through them the Mortal Races were born in their image. Elves, dwarves, humans, and the bestial races all working together in harmony alongside the gods. Overtime some would even ascend to join them in their divine kingdom. However, there were those who lurked in the shadows within the darkest corners of Arserial and beyond. Watching, waiting for their moment to strike... They were the Forsaken. This homebrew setting is ripe with adventure and completely malleable to fit any gaming table. The players will get to contribute their own story elements to the ever changing and evolving world of Arserial. Perhaps you will find yourself exploring the lands ravaged by the God War, delving into the elven ruins of the Greywind Forest, unravelling the mysteries of the God King Ulfric Ironfall, or facing off against the remaining threats of the Blighted Years. Anything and everything is fair game in this homebrew campaign!

Themes: Heroic Rebellion, Duality, Sacrifice, Ascension. Content: Adventurous Landscape, Engaging RP, Dynamic Combat Encounters, and a fair share of shenanigans. My style as a DM is to tell an entertaining story with engaging encounters for your amusement. Combat will be challenging, RP can/will change the course of the narrative, and engaging with the world around you will unravel the story in unique ways. Since this is a Home-brew setting, there is a lot of opportunity for collaboration. Everything that will occur throughout this campaign will be based on the decisions YOU make as a player, beginning with our Session 0. Session 0: Will consists of integrating you character into the overarching narrative, along with meeting the other players set to go on this adventure. Backstory will be the primary focus, however, going through a checklist of house rules and game preferences will also be done. All materials will be given in written format as well, including a Google Survey which includes a section for lines and veils so the players can discuss those details anonymously. I also provide a Google Document Template for your character backstory which will be shared between the both us to communicate character details leading up to our session 0 and will be utilized throughout the campaign. EDIT: Game is already underway. All potential players will be screened and session 0 will be done via a Google Survey. In addition, after every four sessions we will all have an opportunity to discuss Stars and Wishes. I also include a 10 minute break at the halfway point of our sessions for the player and DM's convenience.
