About the adventure
Durnland is a large island flanked by oceans on all sides, a country that is made up of many individual city states, inspired by those of Ancient Greece, such as Sparta, Athens and Corinth. In this adventure you will play as a powerful demi-god like warrior, not unlike those from Greek myths, such as Perseus, Achilles and Theseus. You will be tasked by both the Gods and the people of your city to go on a quest of epic proportions to slay the most powerful of all the monsters; THE HYDRA α β γ δ ε ζ η θ ι κ λ μ ν ξ ο π ρ σ τ υ φ χ ψ ω You and your party must stop this beast before it attacks the city state of Airestone, setting sail on a ship with nothing but a small crew, you will venture into the oceans of Bertha; The Goddess of monsters, where you will need to find and kill the hydra. Creating your character
Characters are level 10 and sheets are expected to be made before the session, however I will be free to assist in the creation of characters prior to the session in both Voice Chat and messages. Players are free to use Point buy or Standard Array (or rolling if done digitally and I can view the rolls) - Characters have a level 1 "bonus feat" - Characters get an additional 1,000 Gp starting gold to spend on additional equipment. - Characters start with one 'uncommon' or 'rare' magic item. - Characters are blessed with a boon based on a deity they worship. All Core D&D content allowed, homebrew is also allowed but must be vetted through me first.
If you have a love for epic myths, Greek/Roman Mythology or even just some good ol D&D, this is the game for you! This is a one-shot with the potential to be fleshed out into a mini or full-scale campaign, depending on player interest.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players are expected to have a functional microphone and are heavily encouraged to read over a document detailing some of the homebrew rules in this campaign and setting. No Software installations required.
What Scotty C brings to the table
I will bring the paid version of Owlbear Rodeo, that allows players to get the most out of the software, without having to pay themselves, as well as maps for all battle maps, towns, cities and countries required within the game. I am also able to make tokens out of players' heroforge models or character art, as well as providing custom playlists for the game.
