About the adventure
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The year is 2286. You are a new arrival to the Boston Commonwealth. Whether you are a survivor seeking to scavenge, a Brotherhood of Steel scout looking for pre-war tech, an old ghoul or super mutant trying to survive on the fringe of what remains of society, you find yourself in the middle of a wasteland thrown into chaos. The mayor of Diamond City, the largest settlement of the Commonwealth, was killed and found to be a Synth. The looming threat of the Institute, creators of the Synths and the boogeyman of the region, only fan the flames and fears of people as the power vacuum begins. The unscrupulous Triggermen, a vestige of the pre-war organized crime families, attempted a coup in the lawless Goodneighbor only to fail spectacularly thanks to a rumored group of wasteland superheroes. Super mutants amass in greater numbers in the Cambridge ruins as the days pass, much to the fear and anxiety of nearby settlements. Rumors of dangerous cultists wielding flaming weapons ravage what remains of the Lynn Woods Reservation, all the while more and more Children of Atom pass through Salem on their pilgrimage down from Far Harbor. Amid all of the uncertainty, one thing is clear; life in the Commonwealth is about to get far more dangerous… --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

About me
My name is Eric (he/him), yet another forever Storyteller who had their first roleplay experience with Vampire: The Masquerade and D&D 3.5 back in the early 2000's. Not long after, I ran my first of many games ever; Star Wars D20. Years later, I gained the reputation as the friend who could whip up a game session from nothing in 15 minutes. This led to some long-running campaigns of my Legend of Zelda (technically still going 19 years later) and my custom-made multiverse game Zoridock (of which I have a campaign which has concluded). I tend to run character driven campaigns that focus on heavy roleplay and narrative threads rather than combat, though I don't shy away from anyone deciding to take the heavy-handed approach. Come help create a collaborative story, one that we'll all look back on with fond memories, and more than a few epic tales to regale other players of. Who's ready for an adventure?

Creating your character
Character creation will be handled during Session Zero with Role's custom sheets. New players entering after the first session have a choice of observing for free to get a feel for the gameplay and group, or diving in head-first with a pre-generated character. Either way, new players will have their own Session Zero before the next session (at a time of their choosing) to create their character or make any changes to their pre-generated character.
The game trailer: https://youtu.be/gLTEdhv_a7M?si=FELcYyJyGM9gMtNP Character creation will be handled at the Role table and Discord server with helpful handouts, along with a guided process to help integrate character backgrounds into the setting. There are a number of pre-made characters with complete backgrounds ready for play for any last-minute joining players, or anyone who wish to experience the game before sitting down to delve into character creation. The mechanics of the game will likewise be introduced along with specifically designed handouts for ease of reference. The Lines and Veils form will be gone over, though you are fully able to fill out and update the form privately as needed. New players joining after the first session will be given the choice to spectate a session for free to become familiar with the system and fellow players. After that, they will have their own personalized Session Zero.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
The game will be run on Role [for all play materials] and Discord [for audio/video], so a free account will be necessary. Also a decent mic will be a must, with a video camera being optional. I understand that not everyone is comfortable being seen on camera, and I will leave it up to you if you choose to use video. All dice rolls will be handled with Role's sheets and built-in dice roller.
