Campaign Pitch: ~~~~ You have spent your whole life living among your fellow Barovians and watching them toil away their useless existences unaware they are prisoners in this sunless, rain-drenched world. For each of you there burns inside a certainty, nay a conviction, that this world you live in is itself a prisoner of the Darkness. A Darkness that dwells within Castle Ravenloft in the form of Baron Strahd Von Zarovich. Somehow you know this was once a land full of life, joy, and sunlit valleys; despite no one having any living memory of having seen the Sun. In recent days, you have brought together several people who also feel as you feel that it is time to take steps to depose and destroy Baron Strahd once and for all. Will you find a way to escape the Mists? Is the only way to do so to destroy Strahd? Or is there some other way? You and your fellow adventurers have banded together to find out. ~~~~ You will begin at Level 3. Curse of Strahd Campaigns are usually open to all D&D 5E races, this campaign will be set in a Ravenloft much more akin to Transylvania of our own real world. I am limiting PCs to races which look more human-like. (Humans (Variant or Vistani), Elves (and all elf variants), Tiefling, Genasi, Changeling, Kalashtar, Shifter). Though each of you might have lineages which tie you to those races in appearance (and give you the powers and bonuses) you will still seem mostly human to those around you. We'll create characters in DnDBeyond.com in a private session zero (free). PCs start at level 3. I recommend you have some D&D experience as Ravenloft can be deadly. I am looking for roleplayers who like opportunities to solve difficult situations with alternatives to combat, who love the challenge of exploration mixed with puzzle solving as well as a focus on roleplay and intrigue. (But I don't shy away from a good, descriptive and exciting combat scene!)
