About me
I am a 45 year old DM (He/Him) who considers himself an ally for the LGBTQ+ gaming community and loves seeing more inclusion and representation coming to my favorite hobby, table top role playing games! I've been playing TTRPGS for over 31 years now and DMing for 22 of those years. My preferred system is D&D 5E but I have begun branching out into Call of Cthulhu 7E and World of Darkness 5E.
GM Style
I am a roleplayer at heart. I don't have anything against a min/maxer but even for a min/max build I still reward roleplay that makes that build make sense. Each session I give out two awards, nominated and voted on by the players. One for Best Roleplay (encouraging a great roleplay moment) and one for MVP of the night (encouraging good game play or that clutch moment which changed the course of the battle/scene). I like to do voices (as best I can) but don't expect that from my players. I do run a session zero prior to character development and go over important factors like, type of adventure the group wants, levels of comfort with difficult topics and potential triggers to avoid in our story telling together. I am not OK with NSFW or ERP, nor am I OK with PVP amongst the group. I bring to the table access to my DnDBeyond (main content, and all races unlocked) and use the Beyond20 extension to push rolls on DnDBeyond to Roll20/Foundry. I prefer to run modules but will heavily homebrew them in order for the stories to fit your character's backstories and to fit the type of adventure your party is looking for! Let's book a session and build a world together!

Aaron did a very clear and thorough job getting us set up and ready to play. Then, as we played, he explained everything we were doing, gave us context, suggested attacks, etc. I could tell he had also shortened the more boring/awkward parts (like how we knew each other, travel, etc.) -- woot! I really appreciate his upgrades to the initial newbie campaign, rewards for in depth participation, etc. It was really fun and I learned a lot!
Aaron is very supportive and patient for new players. He creates great atomsphere using music, visuals and voices. He is also extremely inventive so every encounter is full of fun and surprises. I also like how he rules, he is fair but flexible, players can enjoy the game and the story. Can't wait to see where this adventure will bring us.
Captain does the voices! Aaron brings custom artwork, immersive music, and a perfect balance of humor and suspense. He gets everyone engaged in the story and encourages role playing and player creativity. I've never had a GM come close to his quality of voice acting, I'm consistently blown away by his range, it's honestly amazing! Beyond all that, he's just a friendly cool guy to adventure with. A+ GM!
Aaron is a wonderful DM. While I had played other games more recently, I hadn't played D&D since before it had edition numbers and he quickly acquainted me with 5th edition. I've also seen him do an excellent job introducing D&D to players who had no experience with RPGs, be it table-top or remote, including how to use the various online tools. He is a highly creative individual, and if your adventure is more than a one shot, it will most likely be VERY customized including artwork, improved maps, as well as altered NPC backgrounds/motives. Entire towns within published adventures will likely be improved by him. He is always searching for ways to improve the game, be it house rules or mechanics the group agrees upon, or ways which he rewards players/characters by handing out inspiration/other sorts of carrots for things such as good role-play, teamwork, and other desirable attributes with a gaming group, such as creative use of magic spells or other skills.
