Curse of Strahd is a great campaign! It's got horror, drama, interesting characters, and plenty of danger and violence. I've been DMing for over 20 years, and I'm using every tool at my disposal to give you one of the most epic role playing experiences of your life. I love deep RP, challenging combat, mystery-laced storytelling, and also teaching new players the joys of this great game. I also let my players drive the story, ensuring your story will be unique, even if you've played Curse of Strahd before. I go all out with my campaigns. If you want to see my DM style in action, I have over a hundred sessions posted on my Twitch channel (/Gambet) for you to check out. As said by a couple of my players: š "I'd say one of your biggest strengths/differentials as a DM is the experiential stuff (high production values). A lot of people can write good stories, but truly few of them can execute it like you." - SamuraiShaft š "Just in case anyone is on the fence about this at all, I just wanted to offer some player perspective, as I'm in Gambet's existing Curse of Strahd campaign. I absolutely love it. I actually ran CoS a long time ago for my in-person group, but the quality of GM'ing in this game is so far beyond what I am accustomed to that it truly feels like an entirely new adventure. Every scene is just dripping with ambiance and a feeling of legitimate dread (many folks here are familiar with how well Gambet pulls this off in Chords of Chaos, but it really is turned up to another level here). The production quality alone is well worth the price of admission. I look at it this way - for the price of a popcorn, drink, and a movie, I'm getting to actually BE IN the movie and put my stamp on the course of events. If this is something you CAN do, take it from me, you won't be disappointed. 10/10, would recommend." - Nightwind

About me
I have been DMing for most of my life, and I may be one of those few people who is a forever DM by choice. I go all out on my campaigns, utilizing every tool at my disposal to give you a singular experience. My players often find that they have the campaign on their mind, even when they're not playing. I create a real community at my table, even among strangers. Many of my players have wound up meeting in real life because they've become such good friends at the table. I ease new players in, teaching them the game as we play so that they can keep the focus on their character and the story. I challenge veterans of the game with inventive combat scenarios and interesting mysteries. Most of all, I tailor the experience to my players, giving them a game they want to play in. I'll pay close attention to the choices you make, and craft new subplots around your decisions. This is YOUR story, personalized to you. But don't take my word for it. Go check out my Twitch channel (/Gambet), where I have over 100 videos of my games, and get a feel for what my DM style is like.
View Profile āCharacter creation
Creating your character
Characters will be created on DnDBeyond, which I'll share my full catalogue of books with you. Characters will be Level 1 on Session 1, but if you're joining after that you'll be leveled appropriately with the rest of the group.
We will play every Wednesday at 7:00 PM EST!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You need a Mic, Discord, D&D Beyond account, and an internet browser capable of running Foundry VTT. You should create a character before session 1, but I have several premade characters for players who just want to jump straight in.
What Gambet brings to the table
I'll provide everything else. I use crazy cool animated maps for the campaign, custom tokens, animated spell and weather effects. I do character voices and accents, and really go all out to put on a show.

How Gambet creates a safe table
Be prepared for a horror campaign with all the trappings of the genre. I'll be using the Consent Checklist to know if there's any specific areas I should stay away from, and I'll check in with the players at the end of every session to see how they're feeling. I'm happy to make adjustments to make sure you're having as much fun as possible. Combat will be frequent, but will occur where it makes sense, as a part of the story. Curse of Strahd is a horror campaign with a heavy role play focus, and not every encounter is designed for the players to fight their way out of.
